I went to the last 2 shows June 20th n 27th and they were a blast! He really puts on a great, smooth running comp.! Not only is he friendly and easy to talk 2, but so were all tthe other bassheads! there are some crazy installs/cars there that alone make the trip worth it! Hope to see you @ the Boston event and GL! I will def. be @ every event he has! ok that's good to hear! definately (as of now) going to make the trip. can't wait to see all of the crazy installs like the ones on here lol. hoping to learn some things when i'm there. right around the corner if you think about it GL to you also. are you competing? -

IMO. basically which ever one is cheaper. both good. but Sundown's customer service blows Rockford's away by far. EDIT: lmao ^^^ but indeed -

did you guys get the magnets in yet?
-
It was $206.xx shipped to my door, in Idaho. oh that's not bad at all. i'm from Mass. and theyre out of Wisconsin and thats basically the same distance as them to you in Idaho. might have to change my mind lol. thanks for the help bro.

Well they are massive batteries, 70 lbs. each. I got them from www.remybattery.com yea i was checking out that site earlier so i compared the two and the deka is definately superior.. i just don't want to get fucked on shipping. how much did they charge you for shipping?

the anticipation is killing me ahh! haha i need bass again :/

Could you possibly take a picture and show me how you have your batteries mounted because Im looking for ideas and the only places I came up with is the spare tire well (spare tire gone) but then I was wondering how I would chare them being that my box is on top of the batteries. The other spot is beside the box above the rear tires in the corner by the trunk opening. Should I keep my stock battery and get one or two deka 31's; get rid of stock battery and replace it with a deka 9a34 and get just one deka 9a31, appreciate it Duran? i'm in the same situation as you man it's sketchy (the stock alt and all), only difference being that 2500 watts will be the most i'll be putting in, and like i said i'm keeping my stock alt and will be running 2 optima yellowtops front and rear, the big 3 done in all 0/1, and a stinger 5 farad cap...i know a lot of people say caps are useless but i've done my research and i know it'll help me in my situation.. have you considered optima batteries? theyre not much more expensive than those deka batteries and you can probably find a place near you that sells them rather than paying shipping on a battery.. just my two sense..don't stone me haha Those Deka batteries are like 3 Optima's combined. They are mounted on their sides in me spare tire well, that's about it. oh damn..time to do some more research haha.. whered u buy yours?

I vouched to never use their products again since one of their batteries started to leak on me. but i do appreciate the input, plus dekas are cheaper and better numbers oh damn... just like everything else thats once good..quality down price up...i'd probably go with the deka also its just that i'm getting the optimas from a car audio place near me so i might have a little warranty or something and if something was to happen like that my buddy there would probably help me out.. plus i might get them a little less than msrp yeah thats a bet, I would go optima's too; kinda like an allday everyday warranty. I know your probably convinced on getting the capacitor but I do suggest to not get it, but to each its own. After reading that you said you were going to get one I researched on way people have pulled away from these past few years and I can understand. read http://www.isyougeekedup.com/car-audio-capacitors-are-a-waste-of-money/http://www.isyougeekedup.com/car-audio-capacitors-are-a-waste-of-money/ just my .02 yea i definately know what you mean theres a large line between people who believe in them and those who don't. but every setup is different you know what i mean.. everyones electrical system is different. all situations are different in soooooooo many ways it's ridiculous haha. so it's hard to tell ya know. nothings really sure idk... but i figured i try one out for myself and hopefully my alternator will handle it all and i'll save myself some money. who knows i can only try it out and go from there lol

just bought my saz-2000d... can't wait!
-
Ok quick comparison. I need to buy an alternator very soon and here's probably the best ones i've found so far. http://powerbastards.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Fitzall%2D220 I think this is a ledgit site and product, input? I think this one needs to be custom mounted which will a pain in the balls and will cost a good amount to do. or there's this one that after looking at my current alternator looks to be one that will fit without fabrication... http://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/hiampalrefor.html Any one with a maxima also? Between the two which should I go with? I am going to be running a SAZ-2000D in a '03 Nissan Maxima 3.5L...ummm 15" BTL...no other electrical upgrades but I am most likely adding another battery and definately doing the big 3 upgrades. (any info needed just ask) It's sort of a dumb question to be putting into a forum but you guys are really the only advice I can get or else i'd figure it out on my own... Thanks a lot for any help!
-
and it's the 3.5L version I know that could matter**^^^^^
-
what about one for a 2003 maxima? or should i call also?
-
any way you could find out where he bought it? Next time i see him I'll ask for you. Hmm never thought to check them. I like how it says UP TO 200 amps at ???rpm also no rating at idle For 147.99 not to shabby if it does what its rated and wont die in a month or 2 much appreciated... but yea "up to 200" is what's sketchy...maybe i could call and get more info

Ok it's time to start thinking about my crappy alternator and electrical. I'll start out by asking if anybody in here has a 2003 Nissan Maxima and if they have a HO alt. or one with upgraded electrical stuff? I've found a couple for reasonable prices but the sites are somewhat iffy. I was hoping to get away with just doing the big 3, adding a battery, replacing the battery under the hood, and buying a capacitor. The alt. I have now puts out 100-125 amps from what I've seen and I also believe it's the original one that's in my car. What do you guys think? Should I definately upgrade the alternator? Or go with my other choices and try to avoid the alty. part? I also forgot to mention that I will be running a total of around 2400 watts once it's al settled and done. It kinda seems to me that the HO alt. would be the safest in the long run due to having my original alt. thats gone through 95,000 miles. But I was also thinking about replacing the alt. with another regular output one and then going with all of the other upgrades. Which would be overall cheaper? A cap. could be avoided witgh a HO alt. Just let me know what how you guys feel. Heres probably the best deal I've come across for a 190 amp alt --> http://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/hiampalrefor.html Please also suggest any alternator company's that make them for Nissans. But advice please . Sorry for rambling, I tried to get right to the point leaving nothing left out. Thanks again!!
-
oh shit i think i might have found a deal! http://www.jcwhitney.com/BOSCH-HIGH-OUTPUT...10754_10114.jcw too good to be true? what do you guys think? it seems like the description is unsure of itself...idk
-
any way you could find out where he bought it?
-
Indeed . But I have no clue what it's tuned to. I only know how to see how many cubes it is. But you're the one that helped me out before, could you punch the numbers for me if i went out and measured it up?

Sup guys this is just another thread on my box problem that has been solved finally. Most of you guys probably saw it before since there isn't a crazy amount of new threads everyday. Anyways I thought i'd post some pictures of the new one since everybody lovvvvves pictures haha. Should be in the show off section I'm guessing, but a BTL is going into so oh well. So tell me what you guys think..I hope this isn't a pointless thread but it probably will be lol. Lata This is my former thread where I discussed the messed up box that I paid $300 for. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=28637 Check out the major difference.
