I was messing with my EQ and realized just how much midbass i don't have. Turned all the freqs on the graphic eq down except for 125hz which i turned all the way up to get it to sound closer to even with the rest of the freqs. Then i tried crossing my subs up higher to see if that made it a little louder, which it did a little, but then subs sounded chitty playing notes that high. (could clearly tell where it was coming from). Its sad really. I need some components.

Usually a specific frequency (which can be found with a simple frequency counter, like an Optoelectronics Scout) and encoded with a simple 555 timer circuit. Used to have a schematic around here for building one, but I'm sure they're floating around online somewhere. Whatcha up to <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Electricity has been out for the last 4 hours. I deliver food to houses and theres many a neighborhood with gates that i can't get into with out a lot of hassel, so i was wondering if there was something cheap/easy to obtain to give me access.

Hey jack, do gates to neighborhoods wait till they pick up a certain freq and then open? and if so could i buy something that would play a whole bunch of freqs to open the gate?

    MidBass?

Take one of your 6.5's pairs out and put in an 8" and get a nice 3-way set up.

Wow, i can't believe someone would have even asked you that.
  19. I've learned the advantage of kicks are the ability to even the amount of space between your ears and the speaker, help with midbass response from being sealed, and help with aiming and imaging. But i've heard that most speakers were made for IB use and some companys like rainbow don't reccommend sealed enclosures. And could a headunit with time alignment solve the problem of the driver distance? The reason i ask is because i want to put some woofers into my door to cover from 80hz~800hz and want to know would it be a GREAT advantage to put them in kicks if i got a pair with good off axis response, and had time alignment. Would i still get a lot more midbass from a sealed enclosure?
