maybe i need to get some then Mash Here I will look through my email, but I think they sent me a promo code to save 10% on the next purchase. Good thing too because i have nowhere left to put them. lol For some reason the slim ballast kits are off of the site? I hope they come back. The Raptor kits should also be good though. The ballast are just a bit larger. I have heard they can cause radio static/interference though because they are analog and not full digital like the slims. I have 3 sets of the raptors, trust me if they caused noise they would be gone in a heartbeat. lol Mounting is not an issue with a truck, no need for the slim ballasts, IMO. I agree with your post above, they really need to be installed in projectors if possible. I have El cheapo projectors now but at least they don't blind oncoming traffic. I would love a better cutoff and one day, I will tackle a retrofit with some nice projectors. Mine - not a great cutoff. I think I have light leaking out one of the holes on the passenger side or need to adjust the bulb. I didn't notice the light up over the cutoff on the passenger side until I took this photo, but I am not getting flashed by traffic so guess it's all good for now anyway. looks sweet! i've heard the raptors only cause interference on fm/am and it really only becomes a problem when in a parking garage, etc. but if you're not having problems, awesome Being in a parking garage is what will cause interference with your radio, not because of your headlights. Antennas will have trouble acquiring a signal through all that concrete.

I'm just curious but how well does a lowered car/truck like that do over things like speed bumps? Does it scrape or anything like that? Just something I've always wondered. Like everyone else has said that's going to be a ton of bondo/sanding to do. Good luck on the build. I'm sure it'll turn out great.

Be sure to have that thing mounted securely. You may even want to consider putting some deadener on a sheet of MDF and mount it like that. I know those v1s had some problems with vibrations. I loved my SAE-1200Ds but never had any luck with them. I hope you fair better than I. Sundown has great customer service in any event, though. Jacob helped me every step of the way with all of my problems which made me a customer for life on all my future purchases. (provided I have the cash for it. lol) Enjoy that amp buddy!

When ever you are ready let me know and I'll get you the info on where to get them. Awesome! I need to order an in-dash screen and the wiring harness for my car before I can start my install. Stupid harness is like $100! I'll hopefully be picking up the Pioneer 4300DVD and the harness in 4 weeks when I get paid again. Bills and rent sure slow things down. I think we are long overdue for an SSA meet around here. Maybe when the weather gets back to normal we can schedule something.

Will the Deka fit under the hood? Also, where did you order it from?

I was going to ask the same thing! If so, I need to grab a couple for me and my buddy.

Tuned in for this. I must have a listen when it's complete!!

Electrical Upgrades for Around 3000watts
inkfx replied to MikeMartel's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I think it's supposed to be the other way around. Bigger alt first. You need to be able to make the power in the first place. -
You mean the 200.4?
-
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Do you have any other local audio shops? I hate ordering fuses online because of the shipping charges.

Id get some funky pups. They have the maddd deeebeez.

I would think that if you ran the two amps not strapped, a DMM would be able to tell you when they are matched. Although, I've been wrong before. lol

Putting a box together isn't that tricky. With enough time and the proper tools it will come together well. Designing a proper enclosure for your specific woofers on the other hand is something I have not mastered. Although there are a lot of guys around here that can help with that. Good luck with the build.

Be sure to let us know how you like it. Pics would be cool too.

I can't wait to hear the vehicle this is going in. I will keep my eyes open for the build log.

Dear little baby Jesus. That is quite the amp.

Nice, cool feature finally adding wifi to phones. I was thinking it was cool about the plane. It was actually decent speed too. I recently used the in-flight WiFi on an AirTran flight from Washington D.C. Only downside is the "free" part of it is only for a limited time. On top of that, there are only a certain number of free spots on the network so you have to hurry and jump on before everyone else does. It was still pretty cool that I got to check my e-mail and such. I just wish they wouldn't start charging for it. I'm sure it's going to be some ridiculous amount of money.

why do people hate on optima yellow tops
inkfx replied to armyranger3858's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I've had a few as well and never a bad one. I got a good deal on mine so I'm happy. (sorry i -1 this. i accidentally clicked it while on this stupid laptop) -
Yeah the stock stereo really isn't too bad for what it is. I just miss my bass. I just need to get a box design so I can get to work.

So as some people know, my other car was totaled out due to my accident. I finally got all my insurance money and money from the party at fault. So I picked up a 2006 Cadillac DTS and put 22s on it today. Everything is fully paid off on the vehicle and wheels. Anyway, on to the part everyone wants to see. Pics. I just have one pic for now. Snapped it as I was walking into my apartment. I'll grab a few more shots of the interior in a bit. I plan on putting all my previous equipment in this car. I just need to find enough time off work to actually install the gear. From the looks of it, the wiring is going to be a pain in the ass but I'll have to see.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm really enjoying this car. As for the ice, as long as apartment complex's aren't doing anything illegal like running sprinklers in freezing conditions, I should be fine. lol. By the way, that apartment complex gave me a hefty check to pay off what the insurance company didn't cover. Like I said before in my other thread, it was their negligence, not mine. As far as tinting the windows, I'm not too sure if I want to yet. I really enjoy the look as it is now. However, I was thinking about going with that mirror tint or whatever. I've seen it on a few cars and I think it could add a nice touch to mine. I'm mostly anxious about getting my music in the car. For now I'm stuck with XM Radio.

I was thinking about buying a Mustang. Should I get the V6 or the V8? Please read the n00b posting guide. It will help you better formulate a thread.

I'm cited. I've got family in for the holidays. I've got the week after Christmas free. I'll let you know. A Caddy now huh? Now there's some big car comfort. Sounds good buddy. Enjoy the holiday with your fam! I got a pretty good deal on the Caddy so I had to grab it. Now I'm just waiting on the rest of my money to put some new wheels on it. I'll have to get my dad to measure the trunk for me while I'm out of town so I can get an enclosure design for my 15s.

Woot! This is gonna be one hell of a build! I get back on the 20th so if you need an extra hand let me know. I just bought a 2006 Cadillac DTS that will need some work as well.
