Go to Best Buy and look at the headunits there. It should give you a better idea of exactly what you're looking for.

Sorry, I have no sympathy for you. Stop buying triple C's at CVS and grow up.

Only problem with that is sometimes they don't cut the wood exactly to your spec.

You don't need a whole lot of tools nor a backround in carpentry. I touched a jigsaw for the first time a few months back and built the box in my car. The first few cuts came out a little weird but I got the hang of it pretty quick. The only other tool I used was a drill.

Pictures including your username would really help your sale.

audiopipe1500d

The 1500D is 1ohm stable and the 3000D is 2ohm. -
Well what product is it?

Which 15" are you using?

I've never spoken to chop before but I wish him and his wife the best. I know situations like that can get pretty scary.

Recently my 1200D has been going into protect after about 30 seconds of being on and I have no idea what's causing it. I always let me car run for a few minutes before turning my amps on (they are both on switches). Two days ago I went and bought all new brass screws, bolts, and washers and re-did my grounds for both the Sundown and my Pheonix Gold amp. I sanded the paint off the area and tightened them down. Yesterday I pulled the Sundown out of my car and opened it up to make sure nothing burned up. Visually, everything looks perfect and my fuses are intact. I guess the problem started when I got my component set but I don't see how that could be the issue. I've checked the voltage at the amp and battery and both are right around 14.5v. I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. I'd hate to have this expensive amp just die on me like that. edit - Forgot to mention my gain is only a tad more than 1/4 of the way up. Not sure if that helps at all, just trying to give as much info as possible.

I just pulled the subs out and each coil is reading right around 4ohms. I really hope this amp isn't done.
-
They only come as D4s and are wired down to 1ohm. I checked the impedance earlier on my voltmeter and it read at 1.1 ohms. I didn't pull out both subs to check them individually but I assume they are reading fine since together they are wired as 1ohm.

You keepin those 18s or you gettin rid of them? I may want them if you don't.

SAE is Sundowns budget line. They are not quite built like the SAZ but still do a great job. Id go with the Sundown over the AQ any day.

Just wondering how many sq ft there are in the pack. The website says 20sq ft. However, I just got mine today and it had a sticker on it saying 36sq ft. That sticker was covering an original 28 sq ft label. So how much dampening do you actually get in one of these packs? I haven't measured it myself due to the extreme laziness. Was hoping someone could chime in.

Where did you find dynamat xtreme for that cheap? For that price I'd get the dynamat. I have some dynamat in my car right now and it does great. I also am receiving 20sq ft of Damplifier Pro on Monday so I can see how they really compare.
-
I'd get the AP1500D if it's cheaper as they do about the same power. I think last I saw the AP1800 does around 1400w RMS. Good amps for the money but can't expect much more than that with 4ga terminals and most likely less than 150amp of fuses.

That's what I call a keeper. Where did you find her? I want to pick one out from that lot too.

I don't think you are understanding what he is trying to say. He isn't trying to swindle you into buying a certain set of speakers he knows a lot about. What he did was comment that if you had put together a different set, you could build something nice and to spec for them. Your JLs work best in IB rather than in some pods. If you want to build some pods, you would have been better suited with a different set of speakers.

WOW. That is a nice build man. I'm sure the buyer is stoked.

Running car amp in house off of PC PSU
inkfx replied to shizzzon's topic in Computers / Electronics / Music / Games
I know when wiring computer fans you can change the voltage by switching up the wires. 12v 7v 5v Don't plan on running a lot of power off of a PC PSU. The absolute most you're going to see amperage wise is around 80amps on the 12v+ rail. You can pick up a PSU with a 60amp 12v+ rail for around $130-150 shipped (or cheaper if you can find a deal, which are usually frequent with instant rebates or mail in rebates). -
Electrical help
inkfx replied to CrownVic's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I run around 1500w RMS on a 135amp alt and a Yellowtop up front without any problems. Voltage always stays in the 14s. -
I'm havin some people over tonight if anyone wants to come through. Just let me know and I'll get you directions.

I'm pretty sure I found a parking llot that is always empty. It's on Broadway off of 410. My friend says there is a car audio shop right next to it. I think it'll be straight. Yall down for this tomorrow?
