    SSA South Texas mini-meet

Just tryin to turn a lazy weekend into something. I plan on getting a new box together in the next few weeks. I just need a design and some MDF to kick off the process.

    SSA South Texas mini-meet

This weekends meet scheduling all happened pretty quickly. I kind of just messaged BigJon and Matt earlier in the week seeing if they were down. Didn't know Hugo was coming until today but I'm glad he did. Maybe next time we can plan out a bit more and get a larger showing. The parking lot we were in was surprisingly chill. I thought for sure they were gonna ask us to leave.

He for some reason was putting up 143.5s back to back. It sounded WAY louder, though. Those Nightshades on 3k are no joke.

I think Jons girl (sorry forgot your name!) got a bunch of pics and maybe some vids of the meet. Hopefully we can get those posted up too.

I did a 139.6dB on the last run with that Bass Mechanix CD Hugo brought. Had a lot of fun. It was good to meet who I didn't know already. The kid who came up to us was just priceless. "You should get some Kickers bro". haha. Jons Nightshades are just absolutely ridiculous. Makes me want a major upgrade now.

    Big thanks to Sundown!

I just wanted to post a thread saying thank you to Jacob over at Sundown for some excellent customer service. It could not have gone any better. Story: A few weeks ago I started to have problems with my SAE-1200Dv1. It was mysteriously jumping in and out of protect. I tried to troubleshoot myself but could not get it working, so I sent Jacob an e-mail for some assistance. He asked me to verify my voltages with a DMM and everything checked out alright. However, the amp was still going into protect. After about a week of troubleshooting, trying to avoid an RMA, he decided it was best to just send the amp in. All I had to do was give him the invoice from where it was originally purchased and I would be good to go on the RMA. Here, is where I thought I was screwed. I had bought the amp used so I never thought I would get the original invoice. Determined to get my amp working again, I messaged the guy who I bought it from and he was more than happy to give me any help I needed. (THANKS DOCTOR Q!!) So I packed it up with the invoice printed out and shipped it on to Sundown. It also just so happened I sent my amp in during the SBN week and I know Jacob was probably swamped with a million other things to do. Sundown received my amp Friday morning and on Monday I had a tracking number stating a BRAND NEW SAE-1200Dv2 was already being shipped to my door. Now, here we are Thursday the 18th, and I'm sitting with a brand new amp. So again, thank you Jacob and everybody at Sundown for the great customer service! Keep doin what you're doin!! I love supporting companies that support their customer.

A little off topic, what is a rabbit joint? You've done some very impressive work man. Been following this build from the beginning. I really enjoy watching things like this come together.

    Cell service

Oh you mean flash it over? Only downside is updates for the iPhone aren't as frequent. You can only get the new updates once they are cracked. I believe the OS3.1 hasn't been cracked yet either and it's been out for a while. At least, not for the iPhone. I think it's worked on the iPod touch.

    Cell service

The only way to do that is to "jailbreak" the iPhone. Otherwise, you are limited to AT&T.

    Cell service

Any reason you're stuck on the Blackberry? I had a Palm Treo with ATT&T before my Sprint plan and absolutely LOVED the phone. Similar in looks to the Blackberry. Plus the touchscreen isn't a piece of shit! Another cool thing about it was it came loaded with Microsoft Office! I keep thinking the title of the thread is call service for some hookers or something. It's trippin me out. lol

    Cell service

If they are using the Sprint towers, your signal should be fine. I had Sprint for a few years and was satisfied with the service. Only reason I ditched them was because the Instinct phone I had froze up on me and they wouldn't replace it. So my dad and I switched over to AT&T and grabbed some iPhones. We have a family plan with 1400 minutes, unlimited texting and data, costs around $170 a month.
  17. He said the PCB was cracked. If I had to guess, sounds like it was dropped causing the PCB to break.
  18. I would go for the Kicker amp. It's a perfect match for your subwoofer.
  19. The build looks very nice. Although, that PSU worries me a bit.
  20. Would a lift kit without air bags be a lot cheaper? more then 1k? -* I will not be buying poor, decent/bad equipment.* My budget for rims+tires and lift is roughly 10k ( *Rims will be bought used* ) My buddy just put 26s on his 69 buick and paid around 2k for the lift (no bags) and some misc. body work.

  23. Like CrazyKenKid said, check your local shop. You can probably pick some fuses up for cheap rather than having to wait on shipping new ones.
