thru the back seal is not an option.. if you look at a towncar trunk you can see why.. the fuel tank sits between the trunk and the back seats... thru the back deck is possible if i could have found some where else to put 4 cells.. and also figure out how to tune 2 huge external pipes with 2 90 elbows Damn you know what i remember looking at you're trunk and seeing no room lol. One other thing you could do is move the back seat forward like a inch or 2 like some spacers to give some breething room from the trunk to the cabin Moving the back seats as you suggest is also not an option. The mounting bracket on the top part of the back seat is more like a clip, not bolts.

It's irrelevant. Just make sure you get the positive to the positive and the negative to the negative.

Those are some mean subs. Looks amazing and I bet it sounds even better. The box came out really nice.

Here are your options. 1 ohm load: http://www.the12volt.com/12voltimages/1_2ohm_dvc_1ohm.gif 4 ohm load: http://www.the12volt.com/12voltimages/1_2ohm_dvc_4ohm.gif

Very interested in your results. You need to get that 2200 hooked up asap!

Which voice coils did you order on the sub? D1 or D2? Check the12volt.com for subwoofer wiring diagrams. The BL should take the power fine, just set your gains accordingly. Be sure to read the stickies here on the forums located in various sections. All the guides can be very useful.

Agreed. I have all the tools and glues already so I don't mind lending a hand as well. I have to build a box myself so we could chip in on the MDF. The Navigator would definitely be louder unless you get rid of the back seats in the Town Car, something you don't want to do. Unless you can switch over to 4 12s, I'd keep the Navigator.

Extreme Overkill Sound Deadening Without Compromise

All the pics are really small. Any way you can enlarge them? -
Thanks. Nah, the 22s fit on there just fine with a bit of room to spare. I was going to put 4s on it but I got a good deal on these 22s.

Yeah the remote start is coming soon. This place right next to the wheel shop has really good prices installed. Figured that's the best way to go since it will be warrantied. Acceleration suffered a bit but nothing I'm going to lose sleep over. Didn't buy this car to go racing around Thanks for the compliments. :drink40:

Yes, definitely. I for sure noticed it's not as easy to stop. I can still drive it safely without a problem. I just keep my distance from people on the road. Was going to get some price quotes on that tomorrow if shops are open. Gonna have to wait a few weeks, though. My money tree isn't growing fast enough.

Electrical needs for running a saz-3500d + sax-125.2

You could pick up a pair of Deka 9A31s. They are rated at 100ah and aren't too expensive either. -
Electrical needs for running a saz-3500d + sax-125.2
inkfx replied to mrbojang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
With that kind of power you're gonna need to shell out some cash for electrical upgrades for sure. New alternator for sure. That 160amp alt you have right now is gonna have a real hard time with all that. If you want to run the system with the car off, you're gonna need a pretty good battery bank as well. -
aq3500d @ 1ohm vs 2 aq2200d @ 1ohm strapped
inkfx replied to harveywong's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You're definitely going to get more power out of the 2 AQ2200s. Although I don't know if running them at .5 is a good idea. Are they stable at that ohm load? -
That's a lot easier said than done. I'm not aware of a single shop around here that has a decent set of components. Sure, some areas are different but I'm willing to bet that most local shops wont carry decent components. I'm very happy with the set of RF components I have. Got them for like $80, free shipping, and for the price I can't complain. I mistakenly ordered the set with the integrated crossovers though. Seriously? You live in San Antonio, there are plenty of options for you. Buying speakers without listening to them first is not a good idea. They are more personal than how shoes or pants fit so just picking some arbitrary set someone else likes won't get you very far. Please point them out to me. Seriously, show me one place that has a good selection of speakers to listen to. I have a feeling you wont be able to. The only one I can think of is Best Buy, and they don't carry components. The only BB that has a set of components is the one on 1604 and 281 and it's a set of Alpine Type-S. I've been to a LOT of shops around here and the main focus is coax speakers, not components.

Where can the Crescendo comps be purchased?
-
No need to be a smartass. Of course I don't know what he likes but I can offer him my opinion on what I own. If you can show me some shops that have a good selection of component speakers for you to actually listen to, I'll bite my tongue.

How much did they charge to do the install?

I own a Grand Marquis, so it should fit in an Accord. Wait... that doesn't make any sense.

Do you really need to make a new thread each time?

deka intimidator 9a31 or xs d2400???
inkfx replied to matt cusack's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I'd go with the Deka because of the price. The 2400 will outperform the Deka a little, but is the extra $65 worth it? Not to me. -
Indeed. Last time I checked, a rebuild for the SAE-1200D was around $100-150 from db-r.
