good sounding loud (potential to produce good numbers) x2 15" $350 max 4 cubes ported at least 1500 rms as for other materials...im starting fresh so none as as of yet
-
i should have made the title best $300 or less sub, but anyway i want to be different from everybody around here because everyone around here thinks kicker subs are the best, for example when you tell someone you have a L7 or a cvx its like so i want something that will play louder and sound better. i want about 1600-2000 max per sub with about 4 cubes per sub
-
well look like im back where i started
-
i wanted four 15" cvx's sealed in a trunk car but if i could get louder and sound better i will go that route and the kickers and dc lvl 4 xl's was at the top of my list
-
What sub is comparable to the sa-15? And will two ported with about 1700 a piece produce better results that four with 1k each?
-
whats the spl rating? i know one the cvx's its 91
-
from my understanding there not but i some recommended these over a couple 15"cvx's so they must be good
-
Im getting a new system soon and i was trying to decided between the dc level 4 and the hdc3, i heard a couple saying that the Xl's are more comparable to AQ's, and i also heard many saying the dc's sound a lot better. My question is which will hit the lows better and sound better?

amp for two Level 4 XL 15's
Lschevy posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I think im leaning towards two level 4XL 15's whats a good amp to push those animals? I want something between $550-$650 -
I want a pair of 15's thats going to take abuse daily that plays deep with about 1500 rms
-
because its a 3k watts
-
and also going with the btl's ill have to change the amp that i want to get so im just going to keep it between the aq's and dc's
-
i wanted to but the fully loaded btls are higher than both
-
the four ported idea i was thinking subs back port up or three really good sealed 15's in a sealed wedge enclosure the dimensions are W49X H13.5 X D32

This is a picture of my neighbors trunk, the car is a 1990 impala i have a smiler car and i was thinking about a setup something like this just with four or six 15's or four ported 12 if i can.. what do you guys think???
-
yea that was the car. will i be better off with three sealed 15's or try to port four 12's?
-
Well to start off i have a 95 camry, my previous system was stolen which was a 15'' L5 on a punch 1001bd in a sealed it was loud but not enough so im not that disappointed that its gone but now im looking for something better. I just came back from a few audio shops to get some ideas. i was thinking four sealed 12 but the way the box will have to be will make the two outside subs starve for airspace, so i started looking into some subs that will be alright in a small enclosure...(JL 12w6v2)the guys recommended three 12's or two 15's the subs im looking into are... Two 15's BTL AQ HDC3 L7 Four 12's Cvx 12w6v2 Fi Q The amps will probally be two AQ2200 but im open for suggestions $1500 give or take a few for subs and amps
-
yes i will i posted the same question on another forum and i got a reply stating that i will come down to 3 cubes per sub
-
whats up everybody im thinking about buying a 1990 impala to play around with and i was told that i would only have room for four 12' or two 15's. i really dont have a set budget yet but i dont want to pay a fortune for the subs and amp(s) any suggestions? heres a picture of what i will have to work with
-
I just measured my trunk 40w, 35D, and 17.5H my electrical system should be alright from my last two systems i had to upgrade it a little i was running a fosgate t4000 on two fosgate power series t2 15's here is a box design that i got from audio shop guys for four cvx 15's
-
i know they are made for sealed i wasnt thinking about putting them in a sealed enclosure. I wanted to run three sealed 15's NOT THE BTLS but since you stated that ported will give me more output my choice of subs NOW is the BTL's
-
what would you do with trunk space like this?
