So you're saying no run of 0 gauge, from the battery to the amp should be longer than 5 ft? i dont see that happening in very many installs at all. Perhaps if we all drove mini-coopers or smart cars. Or if you add a battery in the rear then it breaks up the average run length and therefore the run is under 5ft tops to the amp? ^Not saying there is anything wrong with this, cause there isn't. but the idea that a power cable to an amp has to be under 5 feet is completely stupid. How do you manage to get power from your alt to your batteries and then to your amps in under 5ft? I have a CRX and i couldn't do it lol

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=group_133424136725359&ap=1 Reading some comments on there just shows why people get fed up from bass. Because the guy is against it, you shouldn't be wanting to go by and blast your stereo at 3AM to annoy him, just shows why he wanted it gone in the first place. People just need to have some respect. Know how powerful your system is and make good choices when you're playing it. It's easy. ". He doesn't like loud noise around him, maybe we should barrage this fool all night long with noise." -

Copied from the facebook page against this bill by Carmina Ahmed, "The Bill has been Permanently deferred at the recommendation of Rep Oshiro when he was faced with overwhelming opposition. Thank you all for your support! Now we need to look at the alarm bill. Stay tuned." -
Remember, you can't come here and ask a question and not post a build log! Just kidding... But seriously..

You still didn't say why you want a q and not a BL.
-
Why not just buy a BL?

whatever fits your budget, goals, power on tap, and everything else. the 2 12s have more cone area and should be a little louder than a single 15, dissipate heat better and if they are the same sub different size, take more powa'
-
yeah subs dont need to break in, as is commonly thought to be. The spiders just loosen up and let the cone move more freely, giving more bottom end. after a couple days make sure that there isn't any distortion on the low end and just keep an ear for anything going wrong. or smells that shouldn't be there. all in all. just be smart about it, that's the best advise, but you already know this!

Is 97T5WAGON and 97T5WAGONPIMP the same person?

like this, for instance. (excluding the one that goes on your batt. post. You cant read that from the cab lol) http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=stinger+volt+meter&_sacat=See-All-Categories

setting your gain by position isn't good. turn the knob 'till you start hearing the sub break up, go back a bit and you should be good. if you hear the sub straining on some notes still, turn it down again. Do this 'till you dont hear any distortion and are at a comfortable level. I've forgotten if you've got a volt meter or not. if you dont i suggest getting one. Shouldnt have too much of a problem, but it's better than not knowing what your electrical is doing.

I would suggest two 12 inch SSDs for your particular case. They will sound great and get loud for under $400 which is what you want according to your first post. With the stock 160 amp alt and the big 3 you could quite possibly be alright as far as electrical. If not you could always add another battery or two for a couple hundred buckss. The SSDs would also be favorable if you have to purchase a new amplifier a nice 1500w amp could be sufficiently cheaper than a 2000w amp.

Box looks goooood! keep it up -
So i've got a bit of alternator whine. Started when i put the front stage in, seemed to only came from the right mid. Now with the new RCAs it's coming from all the front stage. mostly in the right side mid. So i unplugged RCA to channel 3, that took away some whine. Then channel 4 as well. All the whine is gone. Does this mean it's the amp's RCA inputs going kooky? Hope not. The heat sink is touching some bare metal, would that create some issues? i can't test that right now, but i believe i have before and it didn't change anything... Any ideas? :ughdunno:
