It's a pain. I like how the wire is over sized, but it's really not going to help anything when you have to trim it down to get it into the terminal. Probably just a selling hype. Already bought my crimper, 48 dolla for an 8 ton hydrolic press. I'm happy with it, but now that i've been looking at those kind of crimping tools i think i could have saved money with similar results. Thanks it has it's quirks, but im happy with it. Pictures make it look good

How much sanding went into that pod? How thin of material were you using to try and wrap it?

That's not wasted space when it comes to going to the grocery store. Think my son and his buddies have raised my neighbor's temper a bit, not to mention the open headers on that 454 in Grasshopper's ride. I always try to respect my neighbors, but sometimes their too anal or don't have a life. We do as well, just to many projects been going on and the neighbor is a little older. Over the weekend I think my son has it all smoothed over. My son went over and offerd to help the neighbor wash his motorhome. Talked with him a while and it's all good. Well done. Give a little, take a little works quite well

So it's just 7 songs with different bass frequencies? or are those 7 part of the CD as a whole?
-
Still learned something though. Like i said, you're good at that! I'll make them work. Hopefully i can use the stock location, and get rid of my ghetto pods.. for now.

Turn the deck to the loudest volume you play at it. Then just turn the gain up 'till you hear/see/smell some distress from the sub and/or your electrical is dropping below 12.5 ish. From there turn it down to where you feel everything will be safe.

I saw you swooped up that amp. I actually got home about a half hour before he got there. I was in my room when i heard him (other side of the house from the door he uses) ran to the kitchen, realized i forgot the camera, and stopped in the kitchen to snap the shot... he never knew! haha Thanks, i'm in the same boat! Weldingsupply.com FTW!!!! unless you know someone that works for a welding company that delivers out the back door! You got the hook-up? share the love! I thought so too. JBLs should be here tomorrow I'm really excited to hear them. Hope i can get them installed right after they show up. Need to throw the fuse back in my wire, put the amp in the car. Make sure all the speakers fit in the places i have available. Even with measurements, you never know, right? There will be pics of them at least, ill let it be known

Still learning new ways to glass, every time i look at this thread. Keep up the slide shows! Have you mentioned what you're going to cover the pods with yet? -

can the ssa dcon be wired down to 1 ohm?
emh9009 replied to mustangsub's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The Dcons are only offered in single and dual 4 ohm VC configurations. -
can the ssa dcon be wired down to 1 ohm?
emh9009 replied to mustangsub's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The lowest you could go would be with a dual 4 ohm VC configuration wired down to 2 ohms. Get 2 and you can get 1 ohm But you will be fine at that power level at 2 ohms. Don't need the full RMS to get the sub jammin' -
whats a good site to download songs since limewire has got shut down? I use amazon

Not bad, ill order some now That's less than half of what i paid per terminal on my last group buy. wow. Those what you normally use, or did you just come across the deal?

I don't fuse my alt + to battery. What if the fuse blows, and you don't notice? the alt is making all this power and has nowhere to go, burns up and starts a fire! It's a long shot, but that's how i do it. That's ridiculous. Terminals here a 5$ a pair everywhere here. Is it an ultra special pure platinum terminal? -
I'm excited to get my 2, they look good. I think i like them with the smaller logo, so no complaints here!

Bought an XS power D1200 from Sean last week. Just got it today; exact condition that was expected, quick shipment, great price and top notch communication. For his rep!
-
No, they're on schedule. The expected date they will have them and start shipping with be the 10th of May.

Should be more updates tomorrow, that's all for today. Big thanks to S.DeYoung for the deal on the battery. Going over to your feedback thread to post some positive feedback!

The other, smaller box had some welding supply "hyperflex" orange 1/0 for my friend's build in his badass malibu. Here is a comparison to some knu 1/0 OFC. The knu was easier to get in the knot, and easier to get out of the knot. Was much easier to get the 1/0 ring terminal on the weldingsupply wire though. I think I'll go with them next time i get some wire. Knu is good, but i can't get all of the wires into my terminals ever. Can't go with 2/0 terminals because my crimper wont fit around them. Reality you wont need to bend wire like this, so it's really not that big of a deal that i can get the knu is a tighter knot. Personally ill go to weldingsupply over knu for power wire next time i need some

Look whose here! Little ding on the box, Good packaging kept the battery safe though Figured it could do for a little charge.

I like your voltmeter, thanks for the link. Subs look like they're shakin' some sh*t!

He is in welding school. Has a little bit left, around the end of the month/start of next i believe. But he plans to take a couple builds/orders, but nothing extreme IIRC.
