OH YES, it's one of my favorite features! I didn't get a picture of it, but i could see the VC in the cooling slots, looked large. They claim "over sized voice coils". Guess they're not messing around!
-
Should pack a little more punch than the CDT 8's. I want a Dcon.. everyone seems to have one!
-
Coming along nicely! I'm liking the PVC idea more and more..
-
Get as large as you can to be more efficient, IMO. Shouldn't get too much hassle for running sealed, to each their own X2 on the build log!
-
That would be sweet. I know it's not FG, but have you thought about PVC end caps for the tweets? Could do something similar with what you posted above. Sand them a little and paint them up!

X2 on the paint idea, looks clean though!

I lied. Forgot about this. While waiting after class for the JBLs to show up i tore apart the rest of my car to find where my leak was coming from. My left taillight's gasket was soaked, so i took the whole unit out and took the gasket out, tipped it over and this is what came out. So i use some of the "fun foam" i got a couple weeks ago to try and make a gasket for my rear spray nozzle to make a new gasket for the tail light. Used the OEM as a template and got to work! No pictures, but i don't know many other people that have electric blue taillight gaskets! Doubled it up around where the light's plastic meets the metal of the car and anywhere else that looks like it needed it. Screwed it all back in and hope that works. Wont know until it rains again, which will probably be tonight or tomorrow. Updates on that later.

With that much if you don't feel like CCA is conductive enough for your application you can just add another run to have dual 1/0. Should work fine

That pleather stuff is an itch to work with, from what i've done. I had the same problem on my pods. Would have been even worse for me on your small tweet pods. Keep on truckin' and getting experience. I need to start doing that soon.

That's not wasted space when it comes to going to the grocery store. Think my son and his buddies have raised my neighbor's temper a bit, not to mention the open headers on that 454 in Grasshopper's ride. I always try to respect my neighbors, but sometimes their too anal or don't have a life. We do as well, just to many projects been going on and the neighbor is a little older. Over the weekend I think my son has it all smoothed over. My son went over and offerd to help the neighbor wash his motorhome. Talked with him a while and it's all good. Well done. Give a little, take a little works quite well Yep, and I didn't even know about it till that night. He's a great kid, proud to call him my son! awww Just messin' Glad to know kids "my age" aren't just delinquents. How old is he?

Washington weather = rain. Don't get too much sun, guess i need to take a trip to AZ this summer, eh'? Didn't mount the Xovers tonight, they're just sorta' placed, snugly, next to the amp for now. Still have a ton of stuff i want to do.

Going to KNU 12 gauge. Tweeter installed. Like how secure everything is compared to my last setup. These swivel too, really like how i can aim them wherever i want. Mid in. Have to use my ghetto pods for now, wont fit in stock location. Really don't like these things, never have really. But they get the job done. Xover: wired them close to amp and used both runs of 12 gauge to the front. No point in having lone wires in the car not doing anything.

Most everything laid out. In the online pictures, i didn't think these looked all that "beefy". But after seeing them in person, holding them, prying screwdrivers/cutters/screws/tweeter off of the magnet, i know these have some powa'! Little pole vent even! REALLY like the mid's connecters. Now to start installing.

I'm really not that white, it's my camera's flash Alright, this is getting to be a mess. A ton of stuff to be unwrapped. This is a queen size bed. Took it all up! Let us go to the kitchen table.

There they are. Right under all those peanuts. Beautiful, eh'?

Sorry! i got distracted with opening everything up and getting ready to put them in. Tried to get them in before work. hot home an hour ago, finished putting them and the amp in just now. Listened for about 2 minutes. He seemed scared of me.. rushing the van before he was ready for me haha Pictures uploading to imageshack NOW, while i do some psychology homework. You will see them tonight. Video tomorrow? I'm still amped! I'm glad work kept me busy, would have been a horrible day if i was just sitting there. Just kinda' turned the gain up a bit, messed with the SSf for a sec, but they sounded darn good. My dad came outside and told me with all the bass these speakers have i dont need my 12s! More than the AA carbons as far as i can tell, so far. But that's nothing against the carbons, just my tuning sucked haha More on how they sound in a couple days after i get to tinker with them over the weekend I can't wait for the drive to class in the morning. Maybe ill wake up early

So it's just 7 songs with different bass frequencies? or are those 7 part of the CD as a whole? The first 12 songs are different songs. The next 7 are the same but the bass frequencies are different. The higher the track number, the higher the bass frequency. Then you have test tones ranging from 20Hz to 99Hz in 1Hz increments. Oh, wow. I'lll have to get one of these, for sure! Thanks for clearing that up.
