Skar Audio Off Topic Amplifier Questions

M5, I am not concerned over whether or not you think I "Cower & Cry", or if I don't answer your questions. My customers are taken care of 100% and I did answer in that thread. I am glad you have enough time in the day to waste though worrying about things like this...I assure you SKAR is doing quite well and whether or not you claim your defamation is intentional or not, we both know that you just don't like the brand - which is fine - but also the reason you were instructed you were are not allowed to post in the SKAR section a bit ao,... because clearly other people on this forum see you also wasting your time trying to stir up problems with a company that you have no interest in, etc. So instead of actually answering the question at hand with numbers and real world answers you just zone in on M5's post, your beef/bash with him, and bring up your CS skillz? I don't see anyone stirring up problems, people just want answers. It's easy to give them, believing you did test them at the "real" power.

Radio Shack Thanks man! Needed them for when I had my trunk setup, now they're just for looks. Thank you ! Sefugi is the one who brought this whole idea to me; getting the amp mounted like that. I owe this new look to him! Shoutout to Sefugi, you've helped with this build more than you know! I just got these off Ebay for 5$ each, not too worried about the brightness, haven't seen it with the bass amp done up, just put that strip in today. I'll see how it looks tonight. I don't want to be blinded when i look in my rear view! haha Thanks for checkin' it out, guys! More to come soon! Next comp. is on april 15th.

Thanks to Accordwithbass, whom gave me the MDF to start this project! Cut the new panel to size and drilled holes for the wire. Got my beauty panel/amp rack wrapped and finished for now. Only thing that didn't work out is the hole for my RCAs is too small so i need to make that larger some time or another. Jo Anne's fabric didn't have the color that i used to wrap my box in so I had to get black. Still looks alright in my book. Used some poly washers to raise the amps about a half an inch to get a strip of blue LEDs under each one to give a little light back there. Still need to wire these to a switch. As of now they're just run to the amps turn on leads. They're not as bright as I wanted, but that's fine.

    Drilling holes to mount IB318

If needed just take a sharp tool and cut out the parts of the surround that cover the holes up. Be careful!
  13. Either will work fine. Both are vendors here so you're able to get ahold of them fairly easy. I've never dealt with them personally, but I've never seen anything bad about Stetsom's CS. Pick the one that better fits your budget and build. Both are reputable companies, as far as i know.

    Drilling holes to mount IB318

DO NOT DRILL HOLES IN THE BASKET YOURSELF! The gasket should be removable. It's probably just not centered on the holes in the frame. Pry it off, or spin it to align the holes.
  15. I would def. Get 0 gauge for all your power wire. I wouldn't use 4 gauge for very long a length from the battery to amp. If it's not too long you can get away with it fine. But if you're upgrading everything else may as well upgrade that run as well.

    95 Honda Accord Build Crossfire XS-V2 18"

Sub looks huge! Should throw some more bracing in there, closer to the middle of the panels. I like your fuse holder
  17. Huh.. Sorry to hear that. Never really did like them.

  19. There is a Pioneer 880prs on ebay. Just found it yesterday. AFAIK it's a nice deck and has all the options you want. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=880prs&_sacat=0&_odkw=800prs&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

    ssa amps?

I like the way you think. Your first idea would be fairly unique, and keep the price low without all the processing in the amp. I would prefer that; they're(amp xovers and such) not as exact as I like. Much simpler and more exact to do all that with a nice HU.
  22. BTW, this is a TeamNWSPL meet. You need to update your build over there!
