dc audio prices?
emh9009 replied to tkev77's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Changes from dealer to dealer depending on how much they want to charge you. -
Happy birthday. Make it a good one

I believe there are a couple peole on the forum that have the IA set, try and find them and ask what they think of them. Then again, you may have completely different listening tastes. Go check out a local shop and listen to different sets to see what you like. Find some local shows and do the same, about the best advice I can give. Hope that helps!

"Very affordable" IIRC. -
Welcome! I went to Gresham 4 times in high school to orchestra competitions, pretty fun. Nice to have another guy from the NW around.

Sneak Peak at the new GCON (Pics p5)

Gcon would give you room to upgrade a little in the future and be a little more efficient with the power you give it. Build it a big box and it should do well -
Love those cones. 2 of 'em is ever better!

Think there would be a way to have an option of the decals switched front to back, as stated? -
I don't know how I missed this build, it's killer! Wiring looks prime, really like those terminals, the more i see them around here.

Hope the glue dries clear or black!

Anyone in Washington have some free time on sunday come stop by the parking lot behind B&I around noon. About 20 people going so far. First meet of the year! Have some pretty loud set ups going. From a single 12" to 4 18"s!

Looks clean! How do you like those mids?
-
No this one will NOT have fancy crossovers -- the old one did and it pushed the cost up too much and there simply weren't enough buyers for it. Will you/can you offer an amp without any crossover built in for those of us running active processors looking for inexpensive amplification? I would be all over that! Too bad it's not offered from Sundown.. From anyone?

Check your ohm reading at your leads that go to your amp.
-
They'll fix it sooner or later. It glitches out here and there for me as well. Don't really see the function of the FB and twitter stuff on the left..
-
You could do that. The only problem i could see happening is that from the start you're going to be trying to set it at the max rms. The first song you play may very well go beyond that and possibly start to strain your equipment. As long as your smart with it I don't see any problems to occur, as long as your on top of what's going on.
-
I understand, but you cant change the gain for every song or cd or what ever. No, that's why you get to know your setup and adjust constantly 'till you find a happy median where every part of your system works well off of each other.
-
Is the dmm method a good place to start? Refer to your thread about the matter.
-
There is a thread to do this. It's not wrong, it's just not optimum. With that method you set the gain for that one tone; since music is so darn dynamic it doesn't make an sense to tune just for one tone, no?
-
First time setting your amp setting, don't worry about max power. That should be the least of your worries. Since you admit to not know much then don't try to push your equipment the first time you turn it up, you're going to blow something.
