  1. Hey everyone, I have a dilemna. I want to throw a nice pair of 12s (or 15s if I could) in the back of my trailblazer, but I want to save space. I have 2 young boys and I need to haul a lot of stuff sometimes (golf clubs, snowboards, etc). I have a Sundown 2000 that should be delivered in 2 days, so I want to work around it. Quentin from Audibel is going to be building the box for me, thus I'm pretty much looking at SSA or IA subs. I'd love a pair of 15" Xcons, but you do what you gotta do. I figure I have a few options. Either a box up against the back seat(rear-firing?), or a false floor(firing up). I'm open to suggestions. For the box against the back seat I was leaning towards a pair of 12" icons as they are pretty shallow. The box could be ~10" deep. I could build a much larger box for a false floor as the cargo area is ~46x32". Staying shallow would allow me to basically just throw stuff on top of it (obviously I'd need good grills). I think I'd leave room in front of it to mount the amp to the back seat, and maybe room for a battery. Hopefully this is mostly coherent. It is pretty late. Cliff notes: I'm not as concerned about ""SQL""/SPL. i want decent bass but I want to keep a usable cargo area. thanks!
  2. Hi all, I'm considering a false floor, but depth will be a factor. I can't seem to find the depth for the 12 and 15" xcons on the site (store or the SSA site). Anyone got info to share? thanks

    water resistant speakers?

I have 3 pair of Polk 6.5s in my boat. They have a lot of marine certified 6.5s, depending how much you want to spend. I am pretty happy with mine. I did have to mount a crossover for each speaker-just something to keep in mind. Not sure how normal that is for coaxs.
