if you really like how the alpines sounded i would say go with those. I think mine sounds great, just be sure to deaden and seal the doors well then they will really come alive, especially the midbass

What? He is keeping it a secret until its all ready to go. Im thinking DR

im sure you will get 130. Im not sure what mine is at, but i think im close to 130 if not a little over. I really feel it in my ear and it makes them itch, and my hair and nose start to vibrate quite a bit...gotta love IA products

sorry about the neo guys You getting the LI? ... well i just saw your sig so i guess ill find out a little later. Yeah i like the pics so i can get an idea of the internals of subs. Just like seeing how things work i guess... when you kill the next one plz do the same... just kidding dont kill it
-
take some pics and post them when they come in... always love to see new gear
-
well i appreciate you taking it apart and posting pics...now i dont have to kill mine just to see the insides... just a question though. is the center mental part the neo magnet? or is it the outer wall part that is the actual magnet

mine love the low notes. You will be surprised the first time you hear these woofers beating

45 hz is a little high for the subs. i would say 30 -35 would be good for them. Do really well around 32 These subs can take some power. they are rated at 300 rms but can take more. im giving mine around 500 watts each. As far as build quality they are very sturdy and quite heavy. Around 20 lbs each when i weighed mine. They will outperform those p3's any day of the week. You really will be surprised by the output of these subs, especially with the little amount of power they require All in all they are great subs to start with, and have a low price point. You wont be disappointed in IA products just thought i would throw in some pics of the bottom of the subs and them in my car

David Navone - Adaptor Products - Car Audio Engineering Look at the sixth product down. I used it with my subs before i got a new head unit and it worked great. You can adjust the voltage level too so no need to worry about a weak signal -
how hot do the coils have to get for the glue to fail?
-
Well first you want to find the resonant frequency of your car, usually around high 40's or 50hz. Then you want a large box tuned just below that frequency so it peaks at that frequency and then you want a lot of port area. External aero ports seem to be a favorite right now. I am by no means an expert, but this is what i have learned so far

WHO WOULD WIN? SSA XCON 18" VS FI BTL 18" VS digital designs D
shadowslayer666 replied to mikemihai's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
i dont know why you think that a 12 has better sound quality. To get to a certain spl level a 12 will have to move more, more excursion, because of a smaller cone area than an 18, therefore the 12 will be less linear and sound worse than the 18 at a given spl level. This is all very dependent on your box -
since were on the logo...what does Daber mean. How did you come up with that name i guess is what im getting at. just wondering
