yeah I was thinking like termpro or places like that
-
you should really post this question somewhere else if you want an unbiased answer here most people are just going to say xcon
-
it should handle your 4k after impendence rise and because music won't send 4k to it all the time
-
2 ports also have more turbulence as well
-
IXL or icon is what I would do

there is a huge difference between the lvl4 and lvl4xl. The xl will take 2500 all day and is more spl orientated. I have no doubt the dc will get louder than the xcon, while I also don't doubt the xcon will sound better. I think it's funny that people think a sq subwoofer would get louder than a spl subwoofer. There is a place for both types of sub and that's why I asked him what he wants with his system.
-
I'm probably gonna get flamed for saying this but the lvl4xls are probably going to get louder the x-cons are more than likely going to sound better just pick which ever one suits you more I'm more of a spl guy so I would go lvl4xl

mine has muffled bass but am running 5000 watts I can hear other slight rattles but no where near what I have heard on others

1 aq hd3c 15" and a used 3000 watt amp 4ft tuned to 34hz alternator and good starting batt move your original battery to the trunk then get all 1/0 wiring but please don't do it just to piss people off
-
mostly because it's impractical and after 8 feet you start having phase issues oh and the fact unless you are loaded no one is going to waste 30k on a system
-
rockford knows very little with building boxes sub up port back is loudest sub back port back is the flattest playing

isn't that the god honest truth.... i gotta say iv herd a ton of DD's and to this day im not impressed at all. For SPL i think they do great but they come at a ridiculous price for the model that would compete with the x-con. Local dealer says around 600 for a 9500 and im sorry iv seen a few break and i aint gonna wait to get it fixed or pay for there retardedly expensive recones. Just my opinion so no DD lovers get offended. I only go off experience of the product not what people say or read. no for spl the model that would compete the the xcon would be the 2500 series not the 9500 the 2500 series use to be close in price to the x-con I havn't ask dd about them for a while though I don't know why people always compare the x-con to 9500's and btls' it doesn't make sense one side you have a sq sub that can do decent on output on the other side you have a sub designed to get loud and sound ok both do what they are supposed to do very well but they are not comparable to each other

how big around are the 15" ones?
-
yeah 3hp is smaller and had a 3" coil 4hp is bigger and had a 4 coil
-
around 1800 rms I believe
-
well the most important thing is that you are happy I know I always hate buying new equipment or building a new box unless I know how it will sound
-
I pop can isn't a flexible object like wire is I'm sorry I can't see how a subsonic would do this I could see it wear threw the spiders but not start a fire I'm guessing voltage dropped cause the amp to clip and that's what did it
-
just use some 2 part epoxy if you can't get ca glue
-
how many other subs have done this with out being dropped?
-
it probably has to do with the grade of magnet used I'm not sure what it is though

Need some advice on phase switch setting
wenn_du_weinst replied to Sir-Lancelot's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
all that the phase does is reverse sound from the affected woofer did you switch both amps or just one if it was both I have no idea why it is louder -
that hifonics won't do 2600 just so you know
-
you could fit a box for 2 15's with plenty of port with less than half of the space you are using now
