    USB H/U

is there anything by alpine or pioneer thats good? I am pretty much crap out of luck with my ipod, will probably get a zune in a few months. if i sell my old alpine 4 channel and my current panasonic i will come close to affording a used H/U with a usb connect, so I can use my flash drive for now
  3. I think at some point or another it can happen to anyone, you were up late trying to get it done, or you simply didn't tighten a wire, just glad you got it solved and bumpin!

    FI BL?

I am sort of trying to stick with 1 12", for weight and ease of removal to get to my spare tire. But as time goes on I will definitely be considering all options, it will be a few months before I have the money to change from my 2 Elemental Designs 13ov2's in my sealed enclosure. I will know by tomorrow night what amp I will be working with, either a Memphis MCD-1000 or a Sundown SAE-1000d. I can't afford and am not willing to go with a much bigger amp, don't want to do a second battery, and only have a 160 amp H/0 alt

    FI BL?

Well I have a 2005 Scion XA hatchback, will be running either a memphis MCD-1000 or a sundown SAE-1000d. I listen to metal, rap, and drum n bass mostly, and I am thinking that the 12" BL will be the sub for me. I am looking for loud and deep, with the ability to keep up with the drums in metal. I am just looking for advice as to whether or not this is a good sub choice, and should I go ported, and how should I tune it?

    FI BL?

well I wouldn't know that, hence the reason I ask for help, I'm new to doing chit right, and I am trying my best to learn and absorb all I can. I haven't gotten to experience much in the way of quality audio around here, so I was speaking from what people had told me and my limited experience

    FI BL?

I was also wondering what internal volume i should go with? I will be talking with pound that sound about a custom enclosure and subfloor for my xa, so that all you see is the port and the sub

    FI BL?

That's around what I was thinking, I didn't want a 15". I prefer 12's, better for tight bass and stuff like metal in my opinion

    Deadener Coming to the Jeep

Thats looking good, and I imagine sounding even better! I will be working on doing the roof, hatch and doors of my "05xa here in the next couple months, have already done 2 layers of edead v1se and 1 gallon of liquid deadener on my floor pan from my firewall to my back fenders, was really impressed with the reduction of road noise.

    Which amp kit?

The big 3 was a huge help for me, and I went from a 450 cca battery to the biggest 850 cca I could fit in my car when I worked at valvoline, I got 50% off. I would also suggest doing your big 3 in 1/0g, that way it gets good current flow, and you would never have to redo it if you chose to use 1/0 for the amps later.

    Which amp kit?

I would just ask knukonceptz if they would add a few feet, they do have a 1/0 kit for 52.99, I used the klm complete to do my buddies car, and honestly the only thing about it was the rca's in that kit were not the highest grade. I would get their klm amp kit, without rca's, then get their krystal rca's line, its what i used, and I was impressed with the quality for the price!
  16. Well I am trying to get a system back up and running, and am in need of an amp. I am looking for something that can do 1000-1200 watts rms at 1ohm stable, and have the unfortunately low budget of around $200 shipped I currently drive a 2005 Scion Xa. 160 amp H/O alternator. It has all knukonceptz speaker wire, rca's and distribution blocks. 0g big 3 upgrade and 0g power and ground wires. A Panasonic CQ-C7205U head unit. I run an Alpine PDX 100.4 for my infinity reference components in front and coaxials in the rear. 2 Elemental Designs 13Ov.2's dual 4 ohm subwoofers in a custom 2ft3 sealed enclosure. they are 600 watts rms each, and I have them wired to a 1ohm load. I have I don't know how many feet of edead v1se sound deadening in my car, from my firewall all the way to the back fenders I have 2 layers of 80 mil deadening, and then a whole gallon of the edead V3 liquid deadener. I fully intend to upgrade my components and my subwoofers in the next 6-8 months, as well as heavily deaden my doors, hatch and ceiling. For now I am just looking for solid power and decent SQ to get me back bumping while I save for all the new things I need! I appreciate any help and look forward to learning some new things here on SSA!

    Which amp kit?

I very much liked the Knukoncepts install kit and products I bought by the foot, good quality speaker wire and rca's

Fi BTL 12" common chamber flared port

I have just started looking at your work, and I am absolutely astounded by thew quality and care you put into making these, cheers to you
  19. I would definitely do the Big 3, in more then one occasion in my personal experience that went a long way to helping with electrical issues and dimming. I worked at valvoline and replaced my 450 cca battery with the biggest 850 cca I could get, and did my big 3 in 0g, it made a HUGE difference
  20. It is looking like I am about to get a Memphis MCD-1000 for a really good price, so I think I have solved my amplifier problems, so thanks to all for your suggestions

Trying to figure out what ported 12" to go with

I listen to rap, metal, and drum and bass mostly. I am looking for a sub that will play low and hit hard, while if possible remaining decently musical to keep up with fast drums and things involved in metal. It is also going to be a daily driver, if that makes a big difference
  23. here goes! I am just currently planning for my future audio set up. here is my current set up. I currently drive a 2005 Scion Xa. I am pretty sure I am about to get a Memphis MCD-1000 for a really good price, going to beat those Elemental designs all to hell for a few months, then get a new single 12" in a tuned ported enclosure. I intend to upgrade my components and finish heavily deadening my doors, hatch and ceiling. I am trying to figure out what 12" in the $200-300 range would handle 1100 rms @1ohm, have excellent SPL and decent SQ? I have never owned really good equipment b4, and am trying my best to learn!
