Thats good. I just bought the Mmats 3500.1 amp and I was planing on getting another one if I was going with 4 15's but Im going todo the 2 18's instead. The amp wont power a pair of Xcons like it should since the Xcons are 1750 rms and my amp puts out 2700 rms rated. So basically its the driver/box and not the size of the woofer that makes it sound muddy or sloppy? Cause alot of people was telling me that 18's wont sound good for fast music

Ok sounds great. I was looking at the Xcons also but couldnt find tomany reviews on that driver, so I think im going with the Havocs. I'm still debating between the Icons, havocs, and xcons. How do you like your Xcons?

I do have a few bass cds that I pop in when Im setting the gain and frequency on the amp. So the two 18s would still sound good even listening to fast music? I've used 12' and I'm using 15's now and I love them but I just wanted to upgrade and didnt want 15's anymore but was afraid that the 18's wouldnt sound as good as 15's. Whats the difference in sound by the two?

More then Likely tune it between 30-32hz. I still want to have sq because of the different kind of music I listen to such as rap, r&b, tecno/electronica, rock, reggae, dancehall etc.

Would it still be able to pick up the low notes?

I was looking to see what some opinions of each of these, or the goods and bads of both, i will be running a audiioque 2200d amp, in a 2 or 2.5 cube box, in a daily setup so which would be a better sub? And does fi have any kind of warranty at all? Depends on what ur after? They are both great drivers, But the BTL's are more for spl that can be used daily and the Xcon's are a great sq drivers that can get really loud if you want it to lol. With that much power I would go with the btl's

2 18's will be plenty for what you want. Ok. Now with the box, whats the difference in sound if I had the subs facing up and the ports pointing to the back of the vehicle or having the ports facing up also?

I'm using Diamond audio d6 components in the front door speakers and d6 coaxials in the rear powered by a Diamond Audio d3 500.4, two diamond audio 15" d3's powered by a Mmat d2000.1, I listen to rap, r&b, techno/electronica, rock, kompa, and reggae, So I guess you can say I'm an sq guy. I'm buyin four Ascendant Audio Havocs 15's and two Mmats 3500., So my question is I would like to know whats the Ideal enclosure specs for the woofers in an expedition for great sq. I want a ported box, So if anyone have any ideas or can answer my question I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Yes I want it to be loud also but I want it to sound good when I'm listening to my slow jams, or some Pink Floyd.

Need help finding a good reliable h/o alternator, I'm currently in Iraq. I drive a 2002 ford expedition with a stock alternator, and im getting 4 15" icons in a ported box either powered by a sundown 4500.1 or two sundown 2000d, So whats a good size alternator that i should get and what brand do yall recommend? I'm currently in the process of upgrading my subwoofers. Currently I have two Diamond audio 15inch d3 in a ported prefab box powered by Mmats pro audio d2000.1, I have the Diamond audio d672 component sets in the front and diamond d6 coaxiles in the back powered by diamond audio d3 500.4 amplifier. I love the d3 subs but need something more powerful. I would like four 15s and I dont want to spend more then 350 per sub. I'm picking between ssa icons, fi q, ascendant audio havocs, or the incriminator audio death rows. I'm looking for the sub with the best LOUD SOUND QUALITY and really hit the low notes. I listen to a lot of rock, techno, a little rap, r&b, and classical music. I'm wiiling to listen and learn from any bodies advice. Thanks!

I listen to rap also, mainly old school three 6 mafia, Project Pat, Pastor Troy, Jeezy to name a few, but I enjoy rock and techno more because of all the more detailed instruments in that genre.
