I just wish we had some shows, and more car audio enthusiasts around here. Nearest events happen 200+ miles from me. Guess it Should not be hard to get some recognition in my state, if I can pull off some good numbers from a trunk.

Ya for sure, for now ill just go easy on the gain until i can get a couple xp 3000's and a mechman alt. sounds like a good plan with 3 dual 1 ohm subs you can get either .67 ohms or 1.5 ohms at the amp... Exactly what i was thinking, .67 on one amp and if i get the other strap em at 1.5.

My goal when this is all said and done is to be anywhere from 152-55 that's about all i think i could handle in a daily.

Quick update, bought a DC 5.0K yesterday, hope it gets here before next Friday before I fly out to San Fran for a friends wedding.

Just been concerned and wondering about running this amount of power with my current electrical ( in sig + stock alt ) and want to get a heads up on a scenario of huge power consumption during low notes. So far while i had run the rf 2500bd cp did not really have any type of voltage drop that concerned me enough to stop playing other than using up my reserve in the batts. Obviously when i run an amp of this caliber with my current electrical I will be easy on the gain. What I'm really getting to is, are there any ways to create or gain efficiency and boost low note output.

What power do the m3a and m4a amps put out, I keep seeing different numbers? Didnt mean to thread jack Optimus. As far as i know the m4a does 5000+rms at 1ohm 12v and around 7k at 14.5v and have heard the m3a does 2200+ @ 1ohm on 12v and around 4k @ 14.5.

For sure man that would be great and i would greatly appreciate it let me know asap im eyeballin some amps hard right now and gonna buy mon or tues for sure.

No doubt i have heard they are great amps, just don't want to invest in having it painted etc.

Have you checked all sub wire connections, just something to check make sure the solder on the leads is not cracked loose etc.

I may just end up gettin the Dc, its been a while since ive ran brand matching equipment.

I have honestly given both of those amps some thought, just the crescendo has bad color scheme, and i don,t know a whole lot about the newer ones and the powerbass just not my style. Been told the american bass 500.1 is a beast as well. Things can change quickly if the amps im looking at getting are sold before tues.

I also want to see how the new subs will like my current enclosure, and see if i need to tweak ot or come up with a diff design etc.

I still want the m4a just getting one of these two for now so i can get back to bumpin, it sucks with no bass, and get closer to finalizing my install and sealing off the trunk.

I had my DC 2.0K installed for two days before it went poof. I had it mounted on the backside of my enclsoure and evidently DC's do not tlike that. I know that the Sundown amps are designed to be resistant to vibrations. So if you are mounting on the backside of your box the Sundown maybe the better choice. I do believe that the DC's are cheaper, possibly in build quality too. But I love the DC's heatsink. I guess it comes down to two factors: price and mounting location. You bring up a good point, and i can't even lie, i too think the Dc is the better looking one, and I have heard that both amps do pretty much identical power @1ohm. And the issue of clips vs screws is where im having too really think this one through, the Sundown deff has the edge with the screws. Im not sure exactly where and how I will mount the amp. Really want some more opinions about which amp i should get, planning on buying on Mon or Tuesday, and I have had experience with the 4500 but Did not have it running long enough to draw any conclusions other than it had no problems playing with sub par electrical, so i never got to see its real potential.

Plans for an amp have changed, if you had a choice between Saz 4500d or Dc 5.0k which would be better, and why.

I will do my best to review and compare them, although the comparisson part will be quite difficult considering i will be using twice the power this time around and the rf amp only had selectable 28hz subsonic and and iirc a different slope, the new amp will have diff tunability.

Got some new stuff today.
