Anyone seen it?? i like the new content, very simple and informative. The subs they offering are super sexy as well . www.tcsounds.com

It depends on the impedance of the subs, Deuce has a higher rating if bridged (800 @ 4ohm bridged) compare to minilith (650 @ 1ohm).

Once i put my Rl-p in the similar box size with only 500rms, it really rocks, just a bit peaky though.

RIP, i'll keep the Hammer as a tribute.

No worries on long shipping, mine was ship half way across the world (i live in Australia). It takes a while to arrive (around 8 weeks), but it's safe and arrive without a nick. The box that it come with is very strong.

With properly tuned ported box, SQ doesn't have to be compromised. I use to put my RL-p on sealed, it sounds great but then i ask my installer which happen to be a SQ nuts to listen, look at the spec and built me a ported box, he actually come up with rather smallish volume and built a rather weird ported 'box', to my surprise it work really well, it has a flat response. Still retain the SQ when it was in sealed but goes much lower and doing it effortlessly and yes it's much louder too.

My sub come in after 8 weeks.... I live in the other side of the world but

I've heard Type R and RL-p definitely own it by miles, it's a very clean and sweet sub, it just so smooth. Then again it come back to your ears.

Thx for the reply mike, need to study it

I'm going to build a ported box for my RL-p (couldn't resist, since a lot of people say it's better there). Now, what volume should it be (2cuft @ 34hz??)? and how do u calculate port area? I'm a noob in regard to building a ported box . If some of you can provide a plan that will be awesome. Thanks in advance.

That's exactly what i used

I polish RL-p 'arse' using metal polisher, turn out to be good. The flat area is harder to polish. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...ndpost&p=111413

Wouldn't all car put 14.4V when the engine is running?? 12v is from the battery but when the altenator kicks in it bring the voltage to 14.4v, cmiiw. -
Fat mounts = sexiness, i love that big mounts

Yes i picked that one, just want to make sure which model (T-03, T, Hammer??) . Hmm make me wanna buy those zed amp. Did u get the amp with burr brown upgrade??
-
I'm interested with the Zed amp, can u describe more (characterisitc, etc)?? Just wondering, what was the amp u replaced it with??
-
Bigger is always better , u can always add more sub when u wish without scarificing the power if u have monster amp. RL-p is rated at 500rms i believe but it'll sure take more than that. Yes, sealed will have better power handling at the expense of lower output/efficiency compare to ported. Someone here suggested to me that RL-p will shine on ported box, maybe u should give it a go if u looking for more output.
-
I dunno but i don't think the sub like the beating too much, but seriously with a sub as capable as this (SQ wise) i appreciate more on the smoothness and accuratenes factor, it can go loud for sure but IMO SPL is not the main purpose for this subs.
-
I run my single RL-p with 1 kw daily with my SS Rubicon 1002 series 1 (soon with hammer), i think the sub loving it, just watch the gain, the sub is quite sensitive with the gain knob, a slight increase and it get so much louder and eventually overpower your front stage.

What crossover are u using for the Seas?? Where u get them from -
I'm using Dyn MW160 right now as well as MD100 and the Dyn passive, it really open up the vocal but still lacking on the 'kick', can be good or bad, depends on your liking.

I just finish installing my RL-p today and i found the subs doesn't hit that hard and solid, it goes low but, i feed it with 1000rms. Does the inverted installation has anything to do with this?? I used to put the sub in a normal way but in a larger box, it hit harder and more solid but a lot peaky. The current box has around 1.3cuft net (with the magnet outside)
