Not that I WOULD EVER condone cheating but.....through pulse width modulation you can ( depending on the frequency) make those clamp on current meters read any number you want...... -

Ive got a couple (over 40 VELLEMANS) and they come with some cheap ass leads on them, but they will accept any standard input from a DDM lead -

just for sub amps a small handheld unit will do. slower scan times and small memory..... please hold -

Spencerk replied to TheGreatMonkey's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
pioneer prs 880 or 800 both sweet units with ALL of those options listed below -
Clearly your not going to listen to anything we have to say. Do what you want. You should do 4 DP 21' ported tuned at 20 htz with a 7 foot dia aro port on 2 4500Ds....please stop trying to pump rainbows and unicorns up our asses here My spidey scenes say you have no intention of doing any of this.......

dc power, mechman........google them -
I am in a minor dispute here. I was looking to do a 150 trunk set up and I was talking about what I was looking to buy to a few friends of mine. One friend pipes up and says that "I can do 150 ease with 2 12s on 1k sealed in a 2 cube box".......BULLSHIT!!! SO....I am asking you guys who have done it before to please post if you have done it and how so?? i.e. ( what subs, amps, box size, electrical ect) So I can get a better idea of what kinda cash in going to be spending AND to prove him wrong.

yezir....none of this port BS... all legit at the dash
-
well 1st do you have a elec. meter on hand?? if you do check the impedance of the sub get back to us with that number and we can go from there. I am thinkin that their is a problem with the amp tho

I'm not telling you what to do but I did the same thing that your going to do bro...I got a quality power auto for 250 shipped to my door, 200 amp max. At idle it made 24 amps and it dint make max current until almost 9000 RPM (spindle speed). After 1 Michigan winter it took a shit. I would have felt better walking up to a random stranger and just giving my money away. I now own mechman....love it still pissed i had to waist 250 to make spending 500 seem like a good deal.

cooling will add more power handling and so will flat wind coils. those subs will take 1200 each without a problem if you are smart. Play music not test tones, dont clip them, ect be smart...pick either amp they will both be fine.

YOU good sir would be dead right.....steel, brass hell if its a bolt that is metal and not rusty you could use it. just for shits i just got out out the O scope at work here and tested a 1/4-20 x3 allen socket head bolt and it ohmed out at .0018 ohms.

Strongest bonding agent for Steel to wood?
Spencerk replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
just a thought but 3M makes something called panel bonding adhesive it is used in automotive apps....you can glue two pieces of sheet metal together and the bond is so strong that you will tear the steel before you can break the glue joint....its some crazy shit -
just off top of my head if you go 16 x 35x15 that will give you 4.8 and change cubes but after sub disp. and port it will put you round 3.8 ish cubes.....dont quote my in using my fingers and toes here.....
-
port area is too small!!! I would run on the high side like 16 sq in per cube...I run mine @ 20 in per cube and it is a very noticeable diff in out put I even dare say 2-3 db that box will only have 43.5 in sq of port area you will need a MIN of 48 but more like mid 50s to mid 60s

If I had to guess in that jeep sub up port up OR sub up port back, In my experience that is usually the best

WTF only meters that read like that are harbor freight meters....and good meter will have compensated for you or will have an option to zero itself out

14680 lbs... No lightweight fir sure... And I wish that was only $63k, with add-ons and upgrades it was just under $100k... The mill with upgrades and add-ons was over $100k, not to mention the CNC bar feeder band saw that we bought too... looks like they just picked with that 20T fork truck off the truck and set it on skates then just rolled it on in....very nice! not too heavy at all. NO permitting to haul it I assume?

Help 2 RF P'3 vs polk DB's vs FI single BL 15
Spencerk replied to tylerjcarroll's topic in General Fi
ok ok ok...im going to say it before one of these other guys shows up and rips your head off for asking some newb questions. Look kid there is no magic woofer that will all of the sudden make shit in buildings rattle. Im going to follow my gut and say that you buying some BTL isnt going to do shit for you.....SO lets start by asking a few Q's and ill see if I can help you out a lil. Have you done the BIG 3 yet? Have you tried to run those P3's in a ported box? Have you played with box positions yet? Do you know what you voltage is at full tilt with that amp? Are you sending a clipped signal or a clean one to that amp? If you can answer yes,yes,yes,14.1,clean in that order THEN AND ONLY THEN would i even think about suggesting you get new equipment, but if you answered no to just one of those I would be spending that money on building a good foundation for a ground pounder If you are fir real fir real about getting loud ill try and help you out just post back with some more specific info on your car, subs, amp, box, etc. -
WOW i just wasted 18 mins of my life reading all this....but it looks like the best part is about to happen so im just going to

As some of you may know from other another post I have plans of doing a 150 trunk car this summer. So from past experience I know that I can not run two alts, and I already have a HO alt. I am trying to stay away from extra batts due to my car having weak ass springs in the ass end so I was going to install a MLA module. BUT!! I googled for like 2 hours and I can not find the site or how to buy one? If I am just mentally challenged would someone please post a link and if not dose anybody know of another type of device that would get me similar results.
