generally 4th orders are tuned higher than a normal ported box ie 45-55 hz i cant explain the mechanics right now that just how that box works somebody else can go more in depth

not if you run strapped at 1 ohm........ each amp will see .5 thus you will get right around full power after imp rise...... dum dum dum dum lol just read through again d2 and you probably dont want to run at .5 that might not end up well while strapped lol

well running 2 1500s at 1 ohm will have each amp seeing .5, wont be under warrenty but as long as you keep voltage up you should be ok, imp rise will help out in this case rofl..... i ran 1 3518 last year and was seeing 2.5-3.5 ohms over the 20-70hz range while wired at 1ohm so you will be fine again as long as the voltage stays up

if you can build it a t line is the way to go lol but a decent 4th order built off the r/f profile will sound better and most times have a tad more output to the ear's than a decent ported but ya you have to know what you are doing

example, the aq 2200, hifonics 2600, and cadence ia9 are all the same board designs, the cadence and aq are the only ones i would touch hifonics = sub par parts and less of them

umm sq comes from box design and install more than the driver tbh, throw a aq hdc3 in a 4th order build off the cars r/f profile and it will sound great throw it in a smaller box tuned 40-50+hz depending on what car and it will get loud as balls. last year in basic trunk shane ruggles did a 150.? with a single hdc315 and 2k off a sound stream 6500. its all about the install mang

aq stuff puts out rated numbers and a lil more wasnt trying to say they where bad sry if it came across like that lol, i have used the 2200s and we got 1400wrms clamped wired at 1 ohm rising to 2.7-3.0 ohms so ya they do more than rated my cadence ia9 did a bit more but is has a few more fets and a different p/s, also most woofers that can take a lot of power have a higher imps rise just need to get the coils wired down low to see 1 ohm same with dd woofers a.b. and im sure sundown shades, dont have mine in yet but ill post up results when done, gana play with a sa-8" first lol

meh aq is good stuff, but ill run 2 4500s when they come out 3500s till then, and if your running aq subs you will never see that wattage unless you wire around .3-.4 and will rise to one but thats common with spl woofers lol**** i have an a.b. 200.1 16v i need to get rid of its blown but db-r will repair for cheap just need a paycheck b4 it can get fixed lol

ae had some problems last year but i think they where fixed, very nice drivers for the price but xcon= goodness lol

4 sdc2.5 12s would work well, much better than type r's or sundown sa-12's are great to im using quite a few this year my self lol

i have always had success with aq subs, and amps. what kind of vehical is this going in? i can help with the design if you want man.

hey guys just got my sundown sponsorship so i thought i would get active on the forum, i compete in midwest spl mostly but hope to make some usaci shows this year. have some fun builds planed for adv classes, will have to squeeze build time in with new job, working 13 hours a day for now, but happy to be here and see ya in the lanes!

cool, as soon as i get last years equipment gone i can start ordering amps, the adv2 build is a 99 cavy 4dr (in the shop atm starter problems lol) wall with 6 sa-12's and 2 saz-2ks a 125.2 and a set of id ctx 6.5 comps 2-4 100lb interstate grp 31 batts, and then spring build will be a 94 safari w 24 sa-12's and 4 3500's and 10 interstates for adv3.... the adv class is gana rock this year aq is coming out with a 10k amp for 1400 ish so there will be a lot of power out there lol

i was living in dm, but have moved up to waterloo/cedar falls to work at dan deery..... thx for the warm welcome guys if all goes right im ordering 6 sa-12's next mo to start the small build in the cavy hehe, and just found a gmc safari that should fit the bill for the big build for cheap I stay in DM. I might have to come check out the setup once you get it done! for sure dude, we are working on geting ford and garlen to host a show, and i got 2 shops up here geting ready to so there should be some fun stuff this year, chek out midwestspl.com
