Just read your post before mine went up, low voltage will heat up your amps - that is your problem I would bet money. Your amps are working harder than they like to. Time to spend some more money. lol

I kinda agree, they have thermal protection so if they are not shutting off prolly nothing to worry about. When you were on the meter did the signal look clipped?

Thanks I got the birch for about $30 a sheet at a small shop in town. It took 4 sheets because mdf is 49" x 8' and this is 5x5 square. I had a lot of small waste pieces because of the size of the panels. I mainly liked the weight of it, I'd guess about 1/2 as much as mdf- I can move my box myself for the first time in years. People say the work-ability is better with birch but I don't think it cuts as well and is prone to splinter or have chunks knock out while working with the edges. Not bad but irritating when it does happen. For the price the only deciding factor in the future would be weight and dust, and if that isn't an issue I'll go MDF. I am going to try and come your way towards the end of this week. I will send you a pm in a few.

I don't imagine that will take much longer. TJ's did a high 148. Not bad considering it is not paneled off, just a big azz box sitting in the bed and no sound deadening. It is super tight sounding, very impactive, like a baseball bat to the chest. John Yeah, I hear someone else has the itch. Whats he going to do when he builds a system to kick his own ass? I told him I would have to sabotage it just to be on the safe side. LOL Thats a good score, I hear you guys were pretty much installing it in the lanes.

If you have that space, i would go with 4 15's on some good power. That should help you get to your goal and cost less than a bunch of 12's. I would say 18's and if you have room go for it, but might be a squeeze.

You are building a box for low hz test tones and you say you have no interest in competing. I dont get it. What song plays 25hz?

I would say 30hz would be plenty low. There is not much music that plays below that and you box is not going to stop at 30 it would play a little below that.

She's getting there man. I put some T-nuts on the pods and the speaker wire showed up today. Hopefully things work out where I can break away from work at some point this week and get a little done on installing them. You know you will be the first one to know. These may be the only mids you havent tried. lol

I will be adding 5% on all the rear windows over the factory tinted windows soon. I don't want anyone to be able to see in the back at all. Front has 25% as the law requires. Rears I can go as dark as I want.

Damn you do good work. What subs? I tested the Selenium ST350, but went with the Crescendo because I can cross them a littlle lower. A helpful friend and lots of Pm's back and forth turned me on to them. Pretty nice tweeters.
