If you strap you will be at 2ohm with each amp seeing 1ohm so no real help to your electrical. -

Use your ears, you don't need a scope. Even if you did use a scope you would just go back and turn up the gains because it would not be loud with zero clipping at all frequencies.

Sucks about the dash. I would do like you said and try to fit a DD navi unit up top. Then you could ditch the box in the back and fit your subs. I see plenty of room for an 8" in that door.
