maybe i need to get some then Mash Here I will look through my email, but I think they sent me a promo code to save 10% on the next purchase. Good thing too because i have nowhere left to put them. lol For some reason the slim ballast kits are off of the site? I hope they come back. The Raptor kits should also be good though. The ballast are just a bit larger. I have heard they can cause radio static/interference though because they are analog and not full digital like the slims. I have 3 sets of the raptors, trust me if they caused noise they would be gone in a heartbeat. lol Mounting is not an issue with a truck, no need for the slim ballasts, IMO. I agree with your post above, they really need to be installed in projectors if possible. I have El cheapo projectors now but at least they don't blind oncoming traffic. I would love a better cutoff and one day, I will tackle a retrofit with some nice projectors. Mine - not a great cutoff. I think I have light leaking out one of the holes on the passenger side or need to adjust the bulb. I didn't notice the light up over the cutoff on the passenger side until I took this photo, but I am not getting flashed by traffic so guess it's all good for now anyway.

"Summer sub set up" I love how you have broken down your installs in to seasons now. lol If your not out for just numbers and want a really great sounding, low end smashing subwoofer...... you already know what to do. XCON tuned low.

Not all pro audio drivers lack midbass, I got 8mm on my 10's.......mmuuuuhahahaha! I wanted to try out the AA mids too, but I went a different route since I only wanted one mid per door. Maybe one day I will give them a try! Good luck with whatever you decide to go with.
-
How high can those AA mids play? You are going to need to cross those Seleniums over pretty damn high, like 5000hz with any power on em. They get loud as fuck tho and can tweaked to blend ok if your mids can play up high.

I buy mine form DDM also. Have them in Highs, Lows (projector), and Fogs. One set is over a year old, no problems and the price cant be beat.

Turned out really nice man.

You fucker! Making us wait all this time, We already knew those, lol. What are you going to use for tweeters? Looks nice so far bro!@

Sir-Lancelot's Yukon XL - UPDATE 18" ZCONS / 4 GP3k Page 27
Sir-Lancelot replied to Sir-Lancelot's topic in Team SSA
Thanks Buddy! Yeah, I had to get out of the house for a little bit. Cabin fever. I know it's just a little bit of snow, but it has completely shut my home town down. Tomorrow will be worse when all this slush turns into ice. LOL, is that why people hug trees to stay warm? -

Snow day today. Dont know when I will see this again, so I took the Yukon out to play and take some pics to prove to my Grandchildren that it did snow here way back in my day. Damn you global warming! -
Holy Hell man you have some serious skills. Great Job!

Question about ampilfier RCA out.
Sir-Lancelot posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
If an amplifier is receiving a bandpassed input from the head unit of say 60hz - 2000hz and I used the RCA out from the amp to another amp will the second amp receive the same frequencies as the first? I would think so as I dont see how it could be full range as it's not receiving full range input from the source. Just thinking and wanted to double check with some of you guys to confirm. ? -
What is it you are trying to accomplish besides having 2 subs?
-
cough * T Shirts * cough

iv seen a 12 q break 150. q's can be loud Indeed they can get loud, BUT That is not what Fi designed the subs to do. Do you suggest the manufacturer does not know the capabilities of their own subs?

my light are dimming and i think they shouldnt be
Sir-Lancelot replied to markak134's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yes, there should be a setting for AGM and a low amp "trickle" charge -

Sir-Lancelot replied to markak134's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
A slow trickle charge conditions the battery to hold charge, your alt is going to attempt to charge them all at a very rapid rate. A slow charge is a much deeper charge. OP you dont need an isolator. -

Try to charge it up on a charger and see if you can get it to hold a charge. That's too low! -
Audioque SDC2.5 12" or FI ssd 12" which one should I choose
Sir-Lancelot replied to basshead7890's topic in General Audio
lol ... I VOTE THE SAME! go Xcon or go home! But if it is not what he wants or needs, then the SSD is one of the best sub woofer values on the market. So says the owner. Come on guys. Yes the Xcons are badass, but that is why SSA has guidelines so the buyer can get something that works best for their application/budget. -
The Xcon has a very flat frequency response sealed or ported. I would port it just for that little extra slappage when you want it.

these work pretty good for weight gain. Glass of milk and you are good to go.
