I have not listened to those before. They look like they would be nice tho. I like the Image Dynamics CTX65CS. Same price as those Polk at woofersetc too. In that less than $200 price range I would take a serious look at them. They get loud and sound good doing it. Good tweeter for the money. If the Id's look like something you would like, I have a set that has never been out of the box that I could save you a little $ on too. Got me a a new 3way set up coming and will not have a need for the second set of these. I will be keeping the installed set for rear fill.

New Soundstream Reference Amps
Sir-Lancelot posted a topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Anyone have one of these or read any good reviews of the new reference amps from Soundstream they could link me to? Back in the day they were the some of the best around. Seriously looking at the REF4.920. -
full boost knob vs not plugging in boost knob
Sir-Lancelot replied to the mange's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Are you talking about the SAZ you plan to get or the amp you have now? The SAZ is a gain knob and not a boost I believe. Edit to add that if you are settign gain to half, you are just guessing. Gains are to match voltage between you source unit and amp. Unless you set it to be the same, you have no idea if the amp agrees that half is actually half. YOur half could be clipped to hell by the amps standards. -

nah, I have gotten a LOT of help from Wyatt, SicAudio... he has my trust! Cool. Trust is worth far more than $100 saved IMO. -

Someone on Ebay has 3 of the GP3000D's for $499.00 or make offer. new Never bought from them so this is not an endorsement, just an FYI. Did you try to call Maxxsonics direct? -
Creating a New Box (Help Appreciated)
Sir-Lancelot replied to amartin99999's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Trying to run amps at .5 is not the way to go for daily. Why risk blowing your amp up for a few watts your ears will never hear? It will be a power hog and you will shit your amp and or woofer. Get dual 2 coils and run at 1 ohm or run the dual 1 coils at 2 ohm. If you have time and are trying to do things right this time you are off to a bad start -
System tuning advice required.
Sir-Lancelot replied to b34tBoX's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Would I lose any sound quality by doing this? When I tried that, something felt out of balanced, or missing..Imagination? IMO, Fading to the front should help your SQ. You want the image in front of you and the rear to be there but just barely audible. It's not rear sound stage. In that regard my favorite set of rears is one that isn't there at all. No rears at all FTMFW! True, but I drive a Yukon XL. People in the back appreciate me being able to fade something other than 2 15" woofers their way. I keep it faded to the front riding solo. -
And they are always in the pucking passing lane going 10 under. FUCK YOU BITCHES. I hear ya M5. Whats worse is when 3-5 of them get in a line and creep along in the passing lane. Hate that shit! Just hate it. In town I usually ride the speed limit. You just do not make any time weaving in and out of traffic just to stop one car ahead of me at the red light. LOL at those fools. Now the interstate, thats a different story. I let it roll. I do not think it makes me a better driver, just puts some space between myself and the puckers that cant drive and makes me happy. I use a radar detector because it's my right to if I choose to do so.

Play nice ladies. Get the one that has the most AH, fits your car, and costs less. probably Deka, but check it out. -
Xcons do well in smaller boxes and sound good doing it.

Damn that seems high for the Crunch. I only paid a little over $400 for mine little less than a year ago. Is it because they are discontinuing them or something. -
distribution block melting
Sir-Lancelot replied to JLp222's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Also, if the fuse is loose it will melt. Good idea to check and tighten those screws every now and then or use some blue loc-tight on them. Vibrations will slowly back them out. -

The only one of these I have any experience with is the GP3000D. I am currently running this and I love it. It is not as current hungry as people who do not have it claim, no different that any other good 3000w amp and better than some of the popular one's out there, IMO. This one gets my vote, but I am biased. -

Add big battery under hood and in back with the amp and you should be ok. IMO If not HO it is. -

sundown saz 2000d 1/2 ohm stable?
Sir-Lancelot replied to nanners's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Go for the 2000 @ 2ohm. The money you would waste on the electrical to run @ 1/2 ohm could buy you a nice amp. You could always change the coils down the road for that 1 ohm power boost. -
Nice looking box. Solid! What's it going in?

i know, i was thinking about it but the i dont really like the look of the newer models. so you know about this guy meade on youtube! cool, you wouldnt happen to know what type of sub he uses dual one or dual two ohm, spl or daily? thanks emoticons fail. new amp for two machfive subs
Sir-Lancelot replied to BuzzKillington's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I would save up before I bought that audiobahn just to get something. There are better choices. I got a couple RF 1001bd for way less than that. 1000+ @ 2 ohm. Send me a pm if you want to discuss.
