not sure when exactly this will happen, have to get trevor to build my box soon . Well slow it down with all the forum upgrades and get on it. J/K Mark. Your doing an excellent job here and I really appreciate everything you guys have done to keep this sight at the top of my favorites list. This concludes my thread crapping, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I want to upgrade to your 18's if you will ever name your price.

Most car audio midbass are designed to run IB. Your door is the enclosure. That is a good thing beacuse building a box inside your door would be a major undertaking. If you can fit a 7" or 8" midbass in your door it really helps position the lower frequencies to the front. Since I have put 8's in my doors I have found I can back way down on the sub level.

Nice!! Got any pics of the box?

Curious, why put it in the backseat and not the trunk? Isnt the 76 caprice a boat? Sounds like you want a ported box to me. There are people on here that design boxes. Some free some for a small charge. Look around.

Just be patient man. You will forget all about how long it took when you hear it.

I'd like too show some enclosure builds of mine
Sir-Lancelot replied to REVpuggie's topic in Build Logs
Someone woke the dead, glad they did. Your woodworking skills are top notch. Those enclosures need some plexi so show off the bracing. It's a shame to hide it inside the box. Obviously you take great pride in your work. Cheers - -
Yea, saw your post after I posted about it being your wifes cam. DOH! was trying to make a funny about you being from Clemson and all. either way, just a joke. You got pics yet?

He is a Clemmer guys. His digicam is probably out of memory due to all the livestock porn. I kid, I kid. Good to see some more SC boys on here. Cool that your wife is into car audio also. My wife could give two shitS and interrupts me to let me know about it every time I start talking. At least she don't give me crap about spending money on it, tho I bet she would if she knew how much it costs. Congrats on your purchase man, now get us some pics and don't forget the wife's set up too.

Help me with my electrical systm please!!
Sir-Lancelot replied to ExplicitYourSelf's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Dont think fuses are your problem. How are your grounds? Gains set correctly? One sub? Dont really see how that could be wired wrong if only 1. Another battery back by the amp would help, but with the limited power you are running it really shouldnt be needed. Everything I see checks out for what you are running and should be ok. -
what do you drive? Nice equipment, what else do you have planed?

love the graphic Me too. Make a sticker and sell me one. Very cool! I am gald you are rebuilding Thumpper.

Yes they will go up for sale. And yes that is just a stock photo of what my rear hatch should look like. Mine is too cluttered with "box" right now to show a proper picture. Well then my good man, why dont you pm me my price shipped to 29501. -

Yea, it was pretty close to the same volume. The ported box was on the lower end of recommended volume because I wanted to have some space back there for a bag or cooler, etc. I built the sealed box on the upper end of optimum so I could add wood to take up volume so I could experiment later if I wanted. With the woofers pointing back, I wont be putting anything back there that could hit my subs. That is the only thing i do not like about this set up. I changed because the XCONS destroyed my other box. Broke it right in the kerf port so I had to build another box. I just went sealed because I wanted to see how it sounded. I agree the ported box is sexier. Fact is, I didn't lose much output by going sealed and it sounds better. Not to say they didn't sound good ported because they did, but sealed was an improvement and I kinda it better. Like I said the only draw back is I cant put anything back there now. If I go back to a ported box, that will be why I would. If I go back to ported it will be a bigger 4cf tuner a little lower. Right now I am loving the way they sound sealed so it's not an easy decision. Thank you for the comment re: my 3 ways. I am still playing around with those too. Rain and cold weather probably best to wait until spring to make any changes. I am just going to enjoy the set up the way it is for now. -

4ohm stable mono block amp with subsonic filter
Sir-Lancelot replied to BigBadRod's topic in Fi Technical
All of them are stable to 4 ohm, but why would you not want to wire it to 1 ohm? I mean it's a 15" BL. -
