1 15" FI BTL Subwoofer Box help

Get the double baffle. It helps support the weight of the sub. He will advise you. I am sure he wants you to be happy with the finished product. $'s do not include shipping.
  2. Wont be cheap, but money is not a problem.

1 15" FI BTL Subwoofer Box help

He has been pounding them here out lately and they look good. I am sure he will hit you back.
  4. You are going to need a good electrical to power either of those up. Good thing money isn't a problem because you are going to spend more on that then the amp. As for the box, you need to get a tape and help us help you. Not everyone drives a 09 Silverado on here. Welcome BTW.

1 15" FI BTL Subwoofer Box help

You would have real close to 6cf after port and sub displacement using your max dimensions so you have plenty of room. You have realistic expectations and I hope you get there.

Cool man. Give him 4 18" xcons then the kids will flock to SSA for their next purchase. Did you get to hear the Hoe too?

I got two of the midbass drivers, but the subs were a little out of my budget.

    Noob from da SC!

Welcome. I am in Florence. What all is that budget for? You were kinda all over the place. Take a look at some of the amp/sub combos in the SSA store.

    Q15

1000W right? Get a big battery up front or one in the back and you should be good. Just keep an eye on the voltage and try to keep it as high as possible. Na, Night and day between the BL and Kickers. You will like. It's more of a daily ground pounder that sounds good too type sub which is what 99.9% of people with subs want.

    Q15

BL tune to 32 +/- 1 They sound good and will get louder.

    Q15

Just depends on what your goal is. Since you said embarrass your kickers I assume you want more output? If you want loud dont try to save a few bucks by buying the Q get something that will give you what you want the first time.

    18BTL in Tranny Line

I still dont think you can fit a T Line with an 18 in it. It would be shipping container huge. lol Get another 18, but dont let someone talk you into that tline bs. I doubt you would hear much difference just adding more power. Some.

  18. Mounting under the dash affects imaging and staging and frequency response at the listening position, not really the efficiency. OP: What horns do you have currently? I find it hard to believe you wouldn't be able to obtain the output you are looking for out of a quality set of high efficiency HLCD considering a single pair would literally be able capable of deafening you. You said you want to step up to Ultra's, which leads me to believe you may have the older CD1e series? In which case yes, I would recommend you step up to an actual HLCD. I was testing my stereo the other day, and with a 1khz test tone playing though my CD2Pro's at a rather uncomfortable listening level I was only getting about .15V out of the amplifier I really wish there was someone in my area using horns. I am VERY interested in getting a set for myself, but i have zero experience with them. They sound like exactly what the OP needs as well as for myself.

  22. I personally would probably go with the Hifonics if the price is the same, probably moreso since you are planning on a 2ohm load. I don't see where you are losing any useful features by doing so, and the Hifonics has higher power capabilities. By the way, have any of the users who are shitting on the new Hifonics amps tested one under proper conditions, observed a reputable objective test of the amplifier, or reviewed any failure rates or design and quality control measures for the amplifiers? Or is everyone just assuming it's crap because someone on the internet said so? The latter would be my guess. I am quite pleased with the 2 Maxxsonics amps I run. So much so, I am buying my third Maxxsonics amp this week.
  23. I am using one of their distribution blocks and is fine. It's the one with single in and dual compression fittings out and I have no problems with it.

    tweeters and image tweeters

I believe image tweeters are a second set of tweeters added to a 2 way set up to bring the image higher.
