Planet Audio Amplifiers?
Sir-Lancelot replied to arorton's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I know back in my day they had some very nice ones, but I lost track over the years. -
Turn the gain up a good bit just to see if you get more volume. Process of elimination at this point. Double check everything.

Sure do. Been up that way a few times. Wish we had some of that cooler air down this way. lol

The Right Electrical System for your Stetsom
Sir-Lancelot replied to Jeff Stetsom's topic in Stetsom Amplifiers
Well done. -
Order your wire from weldingsupply.com. It's nice and the price is good. 9cf would be plenty, but remember you need to subtract port and sub displacement from that. Where in SC are you? I am in Florence.

Love the amp rack. Very clean install.

Damn Sir-Lancelot when did you trade in the Yukon! My bike is only for shows. It's a trailer queen.

Helps with port noise and it just looks badass.

Low pass depends on your front mids and how low they can play. Usually 80 is a good starting point but the lower the better. If your fronts can play to 60 even better. You just have to tune it bro. Set it up where it sounds best.

Audiopipe AP-30001D
Sir-Lancelot replied to smashedz28's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I believe that amp is 1500 x 2 at 1ohm or 3000 x 1 at 2ohm. Not 100% on that but that's what I recall. -
I would buy a pair for the wife car if so. Don't remember reading where they are in the works tho.

Ok so the other day I got a trojan from not looking at porn using IE. Piece of shit took me hours to get off my laptop. Kept saying everything I opened was infected and wanted me to download free spyware remover. Well I got it removed and downloaded the Firefox browser. All that for this............ Is there a simple to use add on that will remember my passwords. Typing them each time I log on is pretty much sucking. I tried a few add on's, but they are not working for me. I need something simple. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Yes you can. You can also cut some dowl rods or 3" wife mdf and glue them top to bottom and front to back inside your box. Tie all 4 sides together.
-
Yeah, I dont understand why they need the woofer. All the info is listed in the shop for them. That sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. You are in LA, why dont you hit up Quentin at Audible Customs for a box. He does not need the sub to build the box. lol Edit to add Argent has been pounding out some nice ones too. Hit them up.

Unless you can give the maximum dimensions you have in your truck, it is impossible to tell you what you are asking. Yes, port length is what tunes your enclosure, but the port also takes up box volume. There is no set length that = 31hz. That is enclosure dependent. Time to get out your tape and go measure bro. That is the only way anyone can help.
-
just put up all the box dimensions and what sub/subs. Slot port/round port? It's okay to give too much info. lol
-
Need more info bro
-
I would go with one 15 for the sub. It will look cool, but not sure how 10's and the 15 will work together.
-
Hey, make sure you add some of that deadener to the back of those. It will really help them. Also if you can cut a ring of .5" MDF and add to the back to screw the mid to it helps. I have these and they are pretty flimsy out of the box, but with the above done it really helps out a ton. Looking good Dad!

what size 4 channel do i need?
Sir-Lancelot replied to pimppistol's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Get the biggest one you can with your budget. The ability to lower gains settings is a good thing. -
Enclosure Build for Mark @ SSA!! (Installed, P.7)
Sir-Lancelot replied to Argent Audio's topic in Argent Audio
Looks Great!!!!! Looking forward to your vid. -
Honestly it depends on the woofer. The xcon for example with it high excursion capabilities and high power handling will get damn loud in a sealed box. The pro's for a ported box is a big peak around tuning = louder, but for SQ that is also the con. You really dont want a big peak at any frequency unless just getting as loud as possible is your goal.
