look into the die hard marine platinum series batteries at sears. the G31's are 1150 cca and 100 ah. and can be run under the hood without worry -

autotek MM 1500 at .5 ohms?
loondizie52 replied to loondizie52's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
cuz i got them in a trade for something that was worth next to nothing to me so i just planned on selling them or trading them. so i will do that if i can. but i still kinda want to use them. im looking at reconing them to D1's -
does anyone know what grade home depot or lowes MDF is. ive got a few ganahl lumbers and reel lumber by me and they use grade a. ive used the A before and i liked it better and it seemed to be better quality than HD while still bein only $25 a sheet
-
i live in so california and we have ganahl lumber and reel lumber that are the quality wood places. what is similar to those near you guys?

autotek MM 1500 at .5 ohms?
loondizie52 replied to loondizie52's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
no i just got my SSD 18's today and they are dual 2's so i wanna run it at .5 till i get another amp -
ya and bracing. i 45'd all the corners in the entire box with 2x2's and i braced and crossbraced and fully glassed the entire inside 2 layers. strong as a rock!
-
ya always cut yourself!
-
wow i bet those puckers were jumpin out the box! ya its pretty loud for 2 mainstream lower priced woofers. i would take my setup all day over L7's. ive had L7's before and i thought they just sounded sloppy. this setup definately shakes. im happy with it, but also cant wait for 18's again
-
ok, any sugguestions where to get it from in the meantime..ill just make shims like the rest of the world, but i still need that glue
-
i say you get a 15 or try an 18. its a great feeling you get from woofers that large
-
hmm weird my HD and lowes both have the ends painted green. i know grade A uses better glues and it just sounds and feels different. it feels more solid as far as longevity or strength, that is my reason for asking
-
ya haha definately got 2 in there...actually that box would be great for 3 now that i think about it. Ya the Mean Machines are RMS rated. not "Maxx". i saw a few places that they put out more than rated. someone benched it at 1737 i believe. but the R's are D2 so ive got it running at 2ohms. so 1000 between the 2. they never get hot or stinky unless its consistent banging for 20-30 min on lows like gucci, jeezy, something along those lines.

Experience or suggestions with MB Quart Premiums
loondizie52 posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Its come the time to glass some kicks and a pillar pods for the truck. so far im leaning toward the 6.5" MB Quart Premium comps for the kicks and 4" Premium comps also. im open for suggestions i want matching sets so top and bottom looks even. tweeter does not have to match woofer though. just as long as both sets look the same Any opinions/ experience/ suggestions would be appreciated -
ive got mine in a 5.8 cu box at 35 and it is loud. i def built it a little too big but i still like it. i think 4.5-5 should be good imo. but make sure you tune it good or you will smoke em fast. if i wasnt getting 18s again id sell mine and build a new one. whats it going in? and whats your dimensions

I love people who think there tough over the internet, what did you just accomplish nothing (you just let your emotions get the best of you, a females trait. Regardless if you know your so called shit your still a noob on this forum, now read the rules and repost that simple. And obviously you dont know your shit with that question up there, what subwoofers have good spiders and magnet. X2 Big Time

im about to trade for 2 SSD 18's just to mess with for a bit. so im planning on running about 11.5 cu ft at 35 hz, but gonna make interchangable ports to play with different frequencies. so should i port it forward, or up. subs are gonna be facing forward in a 01 dodge ram ex cab BTW
