Tell me about it, the one I mocked up for two is like 95% port.
-
Oh okay, that would explain the fogged up windows in the bat cave
-
The stress is spread out more over the larger surface area. Same idea as a washer on a bolt
-
I got to be different.
-
So uh Dave , how long before we get to start pimpin' the power wheels
-
Dave's gonna run pretty much the same front stage as I'm putting in the tracker. Only difference is I'm gonna use a pair of 8's too
-
D@mn it man, you been in my garage Your front stage looks awfully familiar minus a couple of eights
-
Tis true, a miter joint can really aid in the adhesion of the two surfaces. With a 45 degree miter vs. butt joints you have more surface area for the glue to do it's job.

Elmers also has a urethane glue out called pro bond or something like that. Wal mart has it for $2.88 for the same size as the woodworx ( 16oz I think ) I'm gonna buy a bottle and give it a whirl.
-
THe new woodglues are alot stronger. Most are hybrid versions of what they used to be.
-
Yep wood worx is from loc tite. It's cheaper than titebond and works just as well . I'm with you on the gorilla glue. they went up on the price here though. It's $15 for the small bottle now
-
Woodworx is great stuff. Nah, the tube busted on me. I had to resort to using my finger oh well

Aight my canadian breatheren. Seems as though I get to spend couple of weeks at a certain facility in Valcourt Quebec. I'll be heading up there the last two weeks in February. Got a couple of questions for the experts as this is my first trip to the great white north 1. What is there to do in the area ? I will be taking a couple seminars during the day. But will have free time at night and a weekend. 2. What kind of weather should I expect this time of year ? 3. Is canadian beer as good as they say ? Any help would be much appreciated

Got rolling last night, forgot to take pictures along the way ;( But here are a couple of the progress. Looking into the mouth of the beast

Is this the one that owns me ?? Or maybe this is the one ?? I had a reason for the screws on the inner horn walls. They are so far into the center of the enclosure. It's hard to get good solid clamping one them. So I use scrap pieces, and clamp them over top of the walls to provide adequate clamping force while I put the screws in. The screws provide better pulling force over brads. Which is really needed here.

My dad came by this weekend and said that exact same thing. "D@mn boy, you drawing some kind of satanic pentagram or something?? "

It's more fun to drill 14,000 little tiny holes while your drinking anyway. I have a reason

here we go. need a little less beer in the formula for this one Getting there, predrilling this many holes is a pita.
