I like it, I would trim it up as close to the size of the amps foot print that you can. Then brace at rear of it, with support running underneath the shelf. That way it would look as if it's floating.

I'm gonna say square ports usually are equal on all sides. Slots usually are taller than they are wide. Slots also usually use a side of the enclosure for one of the walls.

THink I'm gonna get the 9835 fixed, and get an 880 prs to play around with. Sounds to good to pass up for the price 75% of the funtionality of the p9 for less than 50% of the price. hhhmmmmmm
