if i can get my kicks made in time then ill be there. but i wanna do a different class then yours LOL Im a noob in sq, so i dont need to get my tail kicked to fast. but ya the rumors are true, im doing sq lol. After working on websters car, talking to him about sq and listening to his car i got the sq bug. Should be fun, hopefully i can do good in it and have fun RAMOS!!!!!!!! when would you want to help a brother out Hillbilly SQ ( Daves garage ) is open pretty much every Sunday. Bob the builder does his thing , then get ears ( Dave ) to listen and see if it's headed in the right direction lol . With the weather warming up things should move a lot faster. Webstar has an appointment with hillbilly SQ tomorrow for new kicks. -
Dave only needs 500W or so I know that Jim really wants a 7k for his SQ sub setup, we are on to you Jim! Got to remember though, Dave has a 1500d and a 100.2 to go along with the surfboard. He does have an arse load of power in that car.

I didn't get a chance to finish . I was going to say that there are laws against all kinds of crap and people still do it. I have talked to the ham guy down the street and get the same thing from him you guys get from saying the crap to lb that you do. NO WHERE Then he's an asshat just as much as LB is Unfortunately, asshattery is widespread...no matter what the hobby may be... And that's the point I was intending to make . There are tards in every hobby that people judge the rest of us by. Don't have to like it, but do have to come to the realization no matter how much you tell them , they will continue down their retarded paths

Experimentation with ideas that buck normal thinking, and just plain old trying stuff out is more dangerous than anything -
On the phone planning the building sessions for next week end to get everybody ready for the comp the first of May

Dave's car is definately a must hear. The ultimate K.I.S.S setup, that has waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy more thought, and background work put into than it even remotely appears to have. First thought upon passing by the car is woo they didn't do a thing. You get in it, and think to yourself " Big deal , what did they do ? ". Turn on the p9................ HOLY SHIT .....what did they do ???. Now that Webstar has his amp situation figured out, we're gonna bring him back up to that level. Break out the team SSA smack down in two classes. -

Spent an hour or so Saturday morning getting nick up and running. Got gains matched on the subs and set the monster loose .......... I swear it was louder. Saturday was all good. Sunday Nick Started claiming victims .Broke 2 screw heads on a sub and launched it out of the the first time. Here's Nick climbing in to check out the damage and repair it Rotated the driver a little, put 8 new screws back in and proceeded to bang some more....... I was watching to keep an eye on it. And witnessed the same sub breaking 4 screws this time, yanking the other 4 straight out of the mdf, and the sub coming out of the enclosure 4-5" and then sucking right back in Those ascendant subs ain't no joke. Snapped screws like twigs, jumped out of the box twice, once sucking back into the box, and didn't phase the sub in the least

I was over at Daves making sure the car is ready for this weekend. Just waiting on a load of laundry to finish washing so I can throw it in the dryer and crash

I might watch it if it were actually stock cars. Hell make the bastards stop at the halfway mark, and give them 15 minutes to set up the car, and run the second half of the race the other direction around the track .
-
We don't have a smilie that expresses my agreement with this statement. A - freaking- men I whole heartedly agree. There isn't single damn stock part on any car involved in nascars so called "stock car " racing.

1st time buildin a box need some advice and tips
ramos replied to P2KMax's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Not sure what you mean there. you could tune it higher if needed, but higher tunings tend to be one note wonders and some times doesn't help db wise. Are you planning on competing ? How do you plan on "porting through the rear deck" ? You going to run a big square port in the middle ? Round ports through the rear speaker holes ? Need a few more specifics and we'll be able to help you a lot better and quicker lol. -
Derrrrr I honestly didn't even think about it lol . See what a router and circle jig do for you. Makes it so easy you forget about even having to do it . Thanks sir fryr

Teaspoon normally , but it's not exact anymore.

I have listened to the q's several times in a couple different enclosures, even built enclosures for a couple. Haven't heard one yet I didn't like. Of course I can say the same thing about ID. I have heard, owned, installed several in many different applications. Depending on which ID he's comparing to the Q ( ID max is the closest apple to apple comparison imo) , I don't really think he can go wrong with either. Build the enclosure properly and be happy
