I'm looking for someone with some expeirience with ssd's I have an old caravan and looking to do a grounpounder setup. 220 amp alt 3 deka's in the back 4 run's of 1/0. I'm going to run 3 18" ssd's in around 20 cubes at 34hz off an ap3k at 1.5ohms I'm sure i can support the amp at 1.5 with my electrical. Does this sound about right subs up port back around 300 to 320 inches of port space.

I am running 2 l7 8's in my daily right now. I went with 1 cube per sub tuned to 36 and I was really impressed with the sound, running 32 inches of port for the pair. I have roughly 800rms on tap and they smash my one Fi Q 12" off 1200rms. I was very weary about the sound quality from l7's but I can say the pair sounds better than the bl 18" I had and almost as good as the Q did

I just picked up 2 blown dp 21's in need of a recone, I was just wondering if this was available through IA and how much they would run?Thank you

Not to be a dick but did you not already have the almost identical thread in the sub forum? You got a few responses there but once again get a d2.Your sub will take more than the 1000rms it say's,more like 1500 but you will have to be careful with your gains. I'm with the above poster,why do you have such a hard on for hifonics amps? I would go with a Sundown 1500,remember you get what you pay for.

^^^^ X2 Underpowering a sub will NEVER hurt it. And if you have that amp already it will work fine but the earlier hifonics amps did not put out rated power, as far as I can remember the 1608 and 1610 will do rated with good electric though.(I still wouldnt buy one)

You would want to go with the d2 so you could wire it to run at 1 ohm to get the full potential of your amp.1600@1 ohm 1100@2 ohms,so your sub will see 500 more watts at 1 ohm.

And here I am wondering who was going build me a box for a dp 21",looks like you won,you'll be getting some of my moneys very soon.

I dont really need to save space,It will be replacing the back seat of my 2.5rs even staying under the window line I have around 15 cubes to work with. I'm not trying to make a full spl car out of it just a quite loud daily,I would like to see high 140's on the meter though.I'm running one Q 12" now off 1.2k and it's nice and clean and get's kinda loud,but it's just not doin it for me.I almost did 2 15" hdc3's off 4K and i know it would be louder Than the dp off 2.2k but it just doesnt have the same wow factor as a 21" in the back seat,and i would need a little more electrical to support 4k.

Looking to see what size enclosure and tuning would be optimal for a dp 21" i have the amp,electrical and a grand sitting in my bank account to buy the sub,but i'm not sure on the box. original plans were going to be 9 cubes tuned to 34 for a daily setup. Should i stray away from that enclosure size or would that be good. Thanks
