Hi, I will sell my Xcon this week. I have a wonderful deal, so I must sell it !!! I love the Xcon, but want to try something else. If I could fit (2) 12" , I would get (2) Xcons. Now, I want a 12" Fi Btl N2 to put in my 3.2 ft3 ported enclosure. I like it because of the "reduced" weight. I want to be louder than now, but still clean ! I listen to reggae and rap mostly. I thought about those 12"subs : Fi Btl N2, AA Mayhem, DC level 4 xl,... But what is your opinion ? What would you choose ? In the future, I will try a more powerful amp (2500 watts), and I will build a smaller box for the 12". I need room in the trunk to fit a battery and some groceries eventually ! Waiting for your inputs.

My budget is 400-450 $ for the sub. I know I will have about 250 for shipping , plus custom taxes. I don't think the Warden will fit in the budget. Did not want to play the smart guy, I thought I said enough. I am not a little kid no more ! I hope I told you all enough to give me a good advice. If not, just ask.

I don't know what size alt I have, but my car has a diesel engine, so the alt is strong. I have described(told) how my alt works to one of the guys at dc (or xs, I don't remember) and he toild me that it was working fine. I check my voltmeter very often when playing. If I play at full tilt some heavy bass rap song, I may drop 0.1 volts. I don't play for hours for the city ! The fact IS that I am selling the xcon for big cash. I must take advantage of that !I NEED a new woofer. What can you say Jay-C ? Believe me or not, my electrical is strong enough : 13.6 volt with or without music. When I bought the car, brand new, it was the same! I think the batt is a 75 a one. No one wants to help ?

My electrical is good enough. No voltage drops at all with my stock alt and my big stock battery. I did the big 3 in 0 gauge. I have a run of 0 ga coming from my battery to the trunk. My voltage is the same with or without the system running ! My box is tuned to 32 hz with 2 psp aeroports(4") like I have in my sig. If you want a picture, look at my avatar. What can I tell you more ? No children, not married yet !!! I know the btl is a new model, but it can't be worst than the old one. I made this thread because I ask for new advices about some other woofers. And the list I made is not closed. Thanks for your answers.

I trust them, at Fi ! They would not have changed their flagship sub if it was for worst ! My problem now, is to find out what options I need on the sub !! D2 for sure, but what else ? I'll look around for some informations. I am really confident in this product, but I have no review to read. I'll post a little one. But I will sell my sub next week, so I hope to receive the sub before Christmas.

Hi, I'm about to sell my Xcon 15" locally. I know I will buy some more Xcons in the future, but for now I think I'm going to get the new Fi BTL. Here is my problem : I have a ported box with (2) 4" psp ports, 17" long each. Net volume (with one xcon) is about 3.1 - 3.2 ft3. So tuning is around 32-33 Hz. What would you do ? Get a 15" Btl or a 12" ? The box is on the small side for a 15" and maybe too big for a 12". I can make a smaller box in the future, but I need to use this one for a moment. Oh, I forgot to say that my car is a hatchback toyota Auris 4 doors, with a small cargo area. My amplifier is a Sundown saz 1500, and my electrical is good for the power I use. I watch my voltmeter to say so ! When money come, I may upgrade my amp to a 2500 watts one, but not for now at all : need to pay some taxes !!! I'm waiting for your help. thanks

I have some topics in the ssa forum: "from icon to xcon", "from ported to dealed",...etc I had Kicker L7 S15 in several sealed boxes, Impact 67 series 15", several Pioneer subs, heared Alpine type X, and many more... 0.5 v for my amp ? No, thanks ! And I don't wan to run 2 subs : too expensive for me (even if I know the Xl's are not really expensive), too heavy, and I don't want to run DC subs. I live in a foreign island, so shipping is hot !!! I only want shipping from UPS or Fedex, one week max. USPS is cheaper but you have to wait one month !!!!

I still love the Xcon, and I will buy other ones in the future. If I had room and enough money,I would get (2) 12" Xcons on a 3500 watts amp with alt and batts. But I cannot do that. I'm selling mine because I have a customer for it and I want to try the new btl. I've never heared one, I will be the first btl and Fi owner in my country. Like with my SSA subs. I'm a seller, you know ! When I can sell something at a VERY VERY good price, I do it. If I'm disappointed with the btl I will go back to an Xcon quickly !

I will buy the 12" Btl N2, not the N1. I'll try to post a review when I get it, and pics of course ! I will keep the tuning as it is, I like it like that !!!

Hi guys, I need 2 12" subs for a friend of mine. He has an MTX TE 4000 to run them. He doesn't really know what to get. He drive a small car (renault Clio) with a hatchback. He will be able to fit a 3 to 3.5 ft3 ported box in his trunk. He's still undecided ! AA Mayhems are his first choice, but I asked Some info about the DC Level 4 xl, and he saw the Orion HCCA. He seems to like the Orion. But we never listened to any of those subs. What do you think about those 3. I think the Orion is not the best choice, but when he reads the specs, he likes them : low Fs, high sd, big motor !!! What can I tell him to choose? All those 3 are in the same budget , with shipping.

Finally my friend decided to get 2 Orion hcca in 12". He made a small box with a very small port (!!!) but he seems to be happy. He admits that those subs don't play really low, like an Xcon. But I told him that the problem may come from his box.

I did it ! I had an Icon 15 on 1000 watts, and then I changed for an xcon, in the same box. The xcon is louder, deeper,...You will notice the change, for sure !! and you will be very happy with it. Just do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :morepower1:
