I would have got the BLs instead. If the change in output is not good enough for you, you could build another box. I changed my sub for a more powerful one, in the same setup, and I notice a big change : I was really happy with the results. Both subs needed the same volume, though. I'm not an expert at all, so don't believe I'm right !!!!!!!!!

Keep your current deck. Forget that TA settings for now. Work on the doors : make solid baffles for the speakers, improve the sound deadening. And tell us the results. Rear speakers are useless. But it's hard to believe the first time. When you go to a concert or when you listen to a real hole stereo, the speakers are always in front of you. Don't forget that. Good luck !

Crescendo is cheap. Audiopipe is cheaper ! Spend on speakers. You must have room for one 18" : will give you more bass for the money. Your Memphis amp is good enough. Keep it. And get an Ssa xcon.

So easy by ears ! Hope I will never regret to do it like that, but I've never burnt any equipment so far ! And I'm not a specialist in tuning amps

Maybe PPI has changed, I don't know. But I'd rather use a PPI than an Audiopipe. Get the cheapest !!!

It's enough power for the Xcon. Just set the gain safely. It's better to have more power than less ! If you feel the sub doesn't like this power (doubtfull), you can turn the gain down a bit. There are tutorials on how to set amp gain. Personnally I turn the gain down, and turn the volume on my head unit at about 70%. Then I turn the gain up until the sub plays bad ! I turn it down until it sounds good without distortion. And that's it. No bass boost, no eq (flat eq). Finally you plugg in the gain remote (to the max) if you have one with this amp. Good luck

Is it hard to do ? Can I find a tutorial here or elsewhere (I'll try Google !). I won't do it myself as I am not very familiar with speaker recones and tools, and ...anything !!! a friend of mine will do it, but I want to know some things before. I already have a design for a good box. It must be around 3-3.5 ft3 net @ 32 Hz ! Thanks in advance for your help.

Oh yes they can ! At least PSI and the others can, so why not Fi ? But I'm sure I can find glue in my country The reconing part is not a problem, as I know my good friend did some recones in his life ! I was only really wondering about the basket part. But it does not look like it's too hard to do.

Ok thank you very much I found some pics on Google to see what is/ what you call an "impact screwdriver" ! It seems do-able !!! for a first-timer I think I will try that. Only if Fi want to answer my e mails. I'm tired of their system. 3 weeks ago they told me they only need a few minutes to send me an invoice for a sub. Still waiting.
