Lol ! And, think those are the entry level speakers of Focal! But they seems to be very expensive in the USA. I have read that th Phoenix Gold Rsd comp set sound really good for their price; try to listen to them before buying anything. But I have never heard them. I just love my Focal KP.

I did not see that you have those Infiniity speakers. This may be a big part of your problem! With all the deadening work you made, you're still not happy! Try a true and GOOD set of speakers front, and you will see! Alpine type X, Focal KP or K2P, and so, the choice is yours.

I know I have a car audio addiction when......
Notorious97200 replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in General Audio
...When you want a 2-door car, and buy a 4-door car just to be able to put a big box in the trunk and still have room for groceries (only on the backseats). ..When you choose your car because the factory head unit is simple and easy to take off. ...When you buy your amps, h u, wiring, speakers and sub weeks before you even choose the car !!!!!!!!!!! That's me !!! -

Why do you all love 10" subs ?
Notorious97200 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I understand that it's a matter of cone area : you have more with two 10" sub than a 12", but in a smaller enclosure. I have never been impressed with the sound of small subwoofers, but I know it is possible! I would love to instal in my car, those thin subs, like the JL tw13 or the Memphis ones. I think they really don't need big enclosures, but they are 12" or 13" woofers (not small at all). And finally the look may be very important for all of you with those beautiful fiberglass instal !!! -

I have just put some photos of my instal in the gallery. They are not rally beautiful, but they're coming from my cellular phone ! I will try to make nicer ones as soon as the weather allows me to. It's raining so hard for 3 days here ! -
Just my thought : bridge the amp to 2 channels, to power each passive x over! More room for your amp, and easier in tunings!! If you want to have fun, you can bi amp and try carefully to tune your system. In both cases : go easy on Gain Settings

With the Dynamat door kit it seems to be a very good deal. Nevet heard anything bad about them! Forget about these Focals : just entry level, the Boston are really more high end. They're not on the same level at all!

Have you already worked on your doors ? I have put some damplifier (SecondSkin Audio) in (or on) my front doors, and I can really hear a good improvment of the mids. Try some good component speakers, that can handle at least 70 w rms per side, with your amplifier, it should be better than your coax. just my 02 cents!!! (I am not a specialist, or a pro)

It was too hard! IT'S'JUST FANTASTIC!!! I LOVE IT All the listeners were talking about the fact that they could listen to every bass notes. And imagine that I may tune the enclosure lower again!!! THANKS SSA -

I only had time to make a 30 min listening while driving. But I am very happy with it!!!!!! I want to let it play a while to see if I really need to tune the enclosure lower. I understand when people were talking of accuracy : I think I've eared bass notes I 've never eared on my Kicker!!! In term of output : I think that I've really lost nothing going from 1000w @2 ohms to 650 @ 4 ohms!!! But definitely -

Sorry to ask, but how can I post pictures on the forum? I want to make a test before I shoot and post some pics of my car and my instal. -

different advices here! Don't know yet what to do!!! But I think I would like a ported one. So, 1) a 6" round port at ...what long? If I port it, I will have to tune it by ear. I don't know if 33Hz is not too high for my taste. or 2) make a smaller sealed one, about 2.5 to 3 cu ft . I have to decide it today. I will see with my friend The Builder ! But still looking for nay advice. Thanks -

Thanks for the "gift" !!! It made me save around 60 to 80 euros (about $100). I know I saw this on the forum, but I can't find it again : can I use a 4 cu ft sealed enclosure, or is it better with that volume to have a port ? (I can have the enclosure for free!!!) If I want a smaller enclosure, around 3 cu ft, is it better to have it sealed ? I will only use round port, like PVC tube(or pipe?), so I can adjust them by ears !!! It would be wonderful if you can give me some dimensions for the ports. I will try to have it ready for next monday. I'LL BE BACK !!! -

Once again, I asked USPS where is my order, and they told me they have no informations about it ! And they said that only the sender could have more informations from them. So ?! I hope and pray everyday to see some notification in my mailbox each time I come back from work!! The last time I used USPS they took about 2 or 3 weeks to deliver a pen, from USA !!! For a sub, it may be (much) longer. -

yeah still not there !!! Everyday I look at my mailbox to see if there is any notification by the postman. I think USPS sent it by (slow)boat ! Maybe next time I will pay ($100) more to have my items delivered by Fedex !!!!!!!!!!USPS is so slow, once again. I am not too worried, I think it will be very different if I ain't got it at the end of the month. -
