Hi, Why is it cheaper than the saz1000? cheaper And more powerful! (should be good enough to power an Xcon!) I should have wait before buying my saz1000, but I'm still happy with it.

1.6 ft3 at 31Hz ? That looks small! (for my taste!!!). -
Where are the XCON enclosure recommdentations?
Notorious97200 replied to bmr4life's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Okayyy! I can just take an Xcon and drop it in my current box. I'm working on that! The 1500 amp will come later:). -

I have a sundown 1000? can it be enough for an Xcon 12 or 15 ? I know it is enough for my Icon 15, but, will it be enough for an Xcon, to notice the change in the sub? I am not sure you can understand what I wrote ! I want to change my Icon for an Xcon, but I can't buy the 1500w amp in the same time. what to do? save more money, or buy the Xcon now and eventually the amp later?! -
Ok. I get it. I keep my box. When I get my future sub (an Xcon!) I will build another box. Thanks.

Hello, I have a 15" Icon sub in a (about) 4 ft3 enclosure, tuned to 30something. The port is just a 6" round PVC tube. I know I have not enough port area. It sounds good But, with the same total volume, would it be better to make an enclosure with the kind of port I can see in all the pics here ? I don't remember the name, sorry! I want to get the best of my sub. (I listen to rap, r' n b and reggae, and I have a saz 1000 amplifier).
-
Ok. Thanks. But why do people seems to only use slot ports? As I can see here. It is easier and give you a much lighter box to use pvc tube. Maybe it is not so good for high output subs?

I made a listen last night. That's insane!!! How can you have so much bass in a small car like his? I'll show you the pics, but I have to take them with the bluetooth from his phone, past hem to a computer... Words of the owner (with a big smile on his face): I am now in another world, another class. . I think he must be sleeping with the same smile!!! We listened to: 1 rap : heavy, heavy , heavy bass : I can really understand what means "groundpounding bass", one word : insane!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 reggae: totally rediscovering the basslines a real pleasure!!! We can hear the bass plays all the notes as it should be, and no unwanting boom. SSA made someone very happy:) -

The box was finished yersterday afternoonn. The box design was really accurate. I did not have the chance to make a listen. But the builder is really very very happy. First listen : his kid jumped out of the car!!! And this kid was used to the kicker L7 15 in the trunk! I will hear this tonight and give you some news. -
I don't have this problem with my pioneer 88 rs. I will keep it down low. Thanks a lot Sundownz.
-
Hi all, I've read here and there not to use the bass boost( because of clipping signal?). But, if it is so bad, why do we have it on the Sundown amps like my saz 1000 D ? How and when to use it? Mine is still set to the minimum, and my 15" Icon seems to love it:)!
-
Free shipping And no tax : I would love it like that to my country. :) even only from ssa store !!!

I forgot to post here, but I received the Xcon 2 days ago. I was still waiting for a tracking number when UPS called me on my cellphone!!! Now, I got the beast, but only for a friend of mine. We have a Fishercustom custom ported box design!3.5 ft3 @ 32 Hz. I will try to make a little review.

Hello, I am ready to buy, but I can't do it on the shop. I don't know who to contact, but the money is burning my pocket!!! So, give me some informations please, before I have to do something else with my $!!! I bought an Icon from you and I am very happy with my purchase. So, I would like to keep on shoping here. I would like a faster delivery, but it will depend on the costs. I am waiting................................. Thanks

got a new sub : a 15" Xcon
Notorious97200 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
We received a box design by dylan@Fishercustoms : 3.5 ft3 net @ 32Hz. The box is huge! But the builder seems very happy with it. I had to translate all the inches in cm (centimétres), boring, with all the 5/6, 7/8, and so on !!! But ok, here we go! I will post some pics of the box build, but they will not be very clean(cellphone camera). It is impossible to wait for a good gamera. We want to hear this sub so baaaad! Everything should be ready tomorrow. -
Need advice for head units/comparison
Notorious97200 replied to Ballax23's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I thought nobody would decide to say that!:)Good point! As usual, you'd'better listen to M5. -
I have the package with the Icon 15 and the sundown saz 1000 : it's great. I love it so much!!! The package with the Xcon must be fantastic too!!!! You can't loose with them! If you're too much on a budget, look for the package with the 2 Dcon subs and the sax 125.2. these are just examples, do some more research if you want. . But remember : you need money to be happy!!!!!!!
-
If you're on a tight budget, why don't you start with only one sub and a good amp? You will buy a second sub later if you feel the need. You can build your box, so it will be easy for you to upgrade later. But don't buy crap, keep saving money until you can afford something good. You will be happier with good products (in a good install).
-
The Infinitys? Seriously? How did you choose them?
-
I'm sure this 12 Xcon with a Sundown 1500 can easily destroy your entire car !!! My 15 Icon is already damaging my trunk with an saz 1000 !!! I can't even imagine an Xcon!!!
-
which 18" subs would you choose?
Notorious97200 replied to Lucky 76's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
You have 2 sets of 6.5 comps for 4500 watts on 4 18's??? Those must be killer comp sets!!! Lol I'd love to have a wall of sub like that behind me !!! -
Wow You will need 6 channels to amplify each speakers. Lots of tuning to come!!! And another amp for the sub. It will be a big and nice setup. Good luck.
-
I think this amp has a bandpass filter option. You can play active with it. I recently read that you can't easily go active with a component set. You need to buy mid speakers And tweeters and tune it. It may be easier to play passive with a 2 channel amp and a good set of comps. Just my 2cts!
