You'd better keep on reading to find some examples of boxes in cars like yours. Or ask some of the custom box designers on this forum, but you will have to pay for a design. FYI : I am very happy with the designs I bought from Fishercustoms. I have a hatchback car (hope it is the right word !) and I like it with sub up and port up. Good luck for your build !

Dam... I must place my order today for a 15" xconD2!!!
-
What subs do you have already? "4 12's" ? There is not enough informations to see what can be louder. I don't see 4 15" in an altima trunk : try just one good 15" in a good custom box and one good amp.

Welcome. Your first system : a Fi Btl 15 ? You're going big for a first shot!!! Good luck, and show us some pictures if you have some.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all Americans !!!

A review of a sealed 15" xcon would be cool! Every owner run them ported, and that is the only way I have heared them.

So, enjoy your xcons!!! Coming from 2 w6 to 2 xcons, the neighbors will notice the change at the first listening session. Tell us about that when everything is ok !!! with pics, please

I have a 50.4 bridges to my comp set, and I like it a lot. It was cheaper than the 125.2, that's why I took one ! I think the amp crossovers are usefull when you're on the 4 ch mode. On a bridged mode, you just use the HPF, no bandpass available. 4 x 50 w per channel , and 2 x 160 watts bridged : how can it be like that ? Isn't it a 100 x 2 amp ? My Focal 165 KP seem to handle all the power from that amp, and they're rated for 80 watts rms. The 100.4 is maybe a better choice for you. just my 2 cts

really great punch!!! You will have 2 xcons in your car with more than 3000 watts!!! Your neighbors will hate you, be careful !!!

Thank you very much for these informations. We must remember power is important, but reliability too! I am not saying AP and others are not good! -
I was running my Icon 15 on 650 watts rms, and it was plying really well. I liked it a lot!

exile amps
Notorious97200 replied to [email protected]'s topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I will be very careful next time I will need some answers here. Thumper sells these amps and is just starting to use them. Maybe the OP just wanted more informations, that he could not find on Google. You won't find everything on google so easily. Overall if you're looking for informations from people you know you can trust about caraudio, like the ssa regulars or mods. Keep cool guys ! -

That's too expensive for a 1500 watts amp !!! Why do you want to forget Sundown ? Take a 3500 and you will be good to go ! -

Question for BTL 15" enclosure in Buick.
Notorious97200 replied to kpeters0929's topic in Fi Technical
If you want to compete, you're on the right track with these Btl's. What did you not like in your setup with the 13w7's ? I've never heared w7, and would love to. Some say it's one of the best subs, and I see you got 2 of them!!! What are you looking for? Never heared btl's, but I understand they're very good for spl competitions. -
Take a serious look at the ssa combos : ssa sub + Sundown amp. you will love them. If you're planning to have an suv soon and/or to upgrade your electrical system, you can try the xcon combo with a 1500 watts Sundown amp. With your stock electrical system (and the big3) you can easily run a 1000 w amp an a 2ch amp for a set of comps. It is what I use, and even if I have voltage drops with a/c on, I don't really care. It's not a problem! You can also sell the Focal you have for rear speakers : you won't be able to hear them with your bass, and they won't sound as good as your front speakers (I hope so !!!). just my 02 cts.

Welcome Your avatar is GREAT !!! I love it, love her !!!!!!!!!!!!!

" Offer the dude some 12 gauge wire, show him a few vids, go over the parts of the sub compared to another "mainstream" company" Totally agree. Tell them to watch vids on youtube : when they see the number of vids, they will believe it's a good product. Show them some crazy builds or the Fit website with its real cost. etc... It's marketing !!!

got a new sub : a 15" Xcon
Notorious97200 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
Yeah, it looks like carbon fiber! But it is just a vinyl , like a big adhesive sticker. I know my friend had a problem with it : after some listenings the sticker was going away, due to the big pressure in the port ! The sound was so loud, he thought he has a big problem with the woofer !!! I don't know what he did to make it stick better, but he has no problem now. And it looks really cool : the picture does not show it so well. -
Hi all, I've just received a 15" Xcon today! It's for a friend of mine. We will build a big ported box, with a design we got from Fishercustoms. This will go in a (very) small french car with about 1300 watts rms on it. I will take some pictures to post here. But, wow, what a big and Heavy driver!!! I will be able to tell you all what I think about this beast!! I have a 15" Icon on a saz 1000, so, I already know what is a good sounding sub!!!!!!
