    Noob question

I know that the bigger the box, the less power the subs can/need to handle. You may find your answers by reading and searching in the several topics already made on this subject !

    Noob question

What specs do you have for your subs? How much room do they need? I don't know if you would be satisfied with a bigger box. Would it be good for your subs? We need some specs to help.

    Wanted a Q....

You're sure you can't have more room for the box? a 10" sub in a custom ported box would be a good choice : Fi BL, SSA Icon, FiQ,.....and many other 10" subs here.

    AQ20KD coming soon...

It is a marketing move for Audioque. We are already talking about them ! Even if they don't sell a lot of those huge amps, they "make" a step in the caraudio market. They are one of the few companies that offer such big amps. Like MTX with their Jackhammer : I don't think they sold a lot of them, but everybody talked about them and saw them! It's like advertising without paying anything to radios, tv's,...

    Help Me End My Search!

With the back seat off, or out, you can easily run a 15" sub. You're on the ssa forum, get an Xcon and be happy (as I am) !!! With 1500 watts of power you will not want/need a second sub. You were telling us about your front speakers : I hope they're good, because you will want to hear them with all that bass!!! I always see people using DC for really high output installs. I am not saying they're not good or that they're only made for SPL : I've never heard them. But I know the Xcon : mine plays with 1000 watts and I love it. A friend of mine has about 1800 watts for his Xcon : I love it even more. The problem with the Xcon is that when you want to upgrade your ONLY solution is to GET A SECOND ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will not want any other subwoofer.

That's cool !!! I did it through Digicel (mobile phoneoperator). It's incredible : they still discover live people under the destroyed buildings !

    Lowest acceptable voltage

You do have a HO alt installed, with 0 ga wire, big3,... and you have such voltage drops ?!! Damn ! How is it possible ? Something must be wrong ! just my 02 cents !
  21. If you're really on a (small) budget, keep your amp as it's powerful enough for the Xcon. And work on the electrical system. You know what to do!!!
  22. Sorry OP, but I did not understand why you want a big alternator like that. You should 1) use a 1500 watts (Sundown ?!!) amp and a good battery, if yours is too weak. 2)Do the Big3. Watch your voltmeter (must have one in the car, not in the trunk). 3)If you get too much voltage drop, then you will think about upgrading something (second battery, HO alt,...???)

    how to improve my box

I am not a specialist, not a box builder, but your box seems light for 2 huge 18" subs on 2500 watts. no double baffle at all, just a little peace of wood for bracing : that can't help you achieve your goals !
  24. Notorious97200

My new enclosure, what takes so long?

You don't drive yet. So that's good, because you can wait for a good box builder. Let audibel or one of the 2 others build you a box you will be proud of. You're so lucky you can do that. I had to make a friend make mine with a design from Fisher custom : it's well buit but does not have the finishing touch you will get!

    Sub Opinion

I was in the same case. I loved my 15" Icon, but I was missing some output :I bought a 15" Xcon and I am very happy with it! I will upgrade the amp when I can. You have a lot of power available, so the IA might be a good choice. BTW : One thing I understood here : always listen to M5, you will not be disappointed !
