    need some 6x9

x2 You don't need them. They will never be audible with your bass ! You need the sound to come from the front. When you're in a concert, or listening to your home audio : you have the speakers in front of you, not in the back ! Work on your front speakers (install, dampening,...)

    HSK165XL vs. Focal 165KR or 165v30

I've never heared the Hertz. The focal speakers are niiiice : I run a set of 165KP for 4 years, and I still love them. They like the power I give them from my Sundown sax 50.4 bridged : 2 x 160 watts rms. The tweeters may not be the best of the world, but they are better than a lot ! I think you can love any K series. The vr ? Why not, if they're really cheaper ?!

need imput on a amp for 2 12inch xcons

If your car has a strong electrical system, you can get a Sundown saz 3500 (this would be perfect), or even a saz 2500 ! There is a sale running on Sundown products these days But you really need electrical upgrades, like some agm batts(1 under the hood, and 2 in the back) and a HO alternator if you want to play your system at iddle safely. There are a lot of amps in the market that can fit your goals : MTX TE4000, Audiopipe 3000, Crescendo audio 3000,...etc, etc Give us a budget, and what kind of upgrades you will have on your car.

Help selecting 2 12's and an amp

2 SSA Icons on a 1500 watts amp (sundown saz 1500 for example). That would be a good setup, but what speakers are you running ? Do you use an amp for the speakers ? I run a 1500 watts amp for my sub and a 320 watts amp for my front speakers with only the big3 done (partially). I have no problem at all. Your diesel truck should be ok with that power, it must have a strong alternator.

    searching a shop for accessories

Hi everybody, I need to buy some parts for my next sub box. I need 2 flared ports with elbows, and 1 or 2 pairs of binding posts. I found everything on part-express, but I need another shop because of their sales conditions (they only accept wire transfers, not Paypal from my country! they charge me $25 for the transfer !!!) I will look up on ebay, but I think you can help me here ! thanks for all your informations.

    searching a shop for accessories

Madisound is really a good dealer : very fast answers, and they gave me the choice for the shipping. I choose USPS express mail, because Fedex was too expensive. But now I need to find 4" elbows and ring connectors (2 of them). Parts express got them, but I'd like to find somewhere else to buy them! If you have any info, feel free to tell me !!! Without elbows, I will have to install the ports on the side of the box, and it's not what I want. Help me, please:puzzled:

Box Built for 2 Sundown SA-8s

I like your ports ! Why did you choose to put them on the side of the box ? Do you think It will be efficient ? I hope so! Did not find elbows? My next box will have 4" aeros, but I can only have the aeros like yours if I don't find elbows. But I would like them to fire back on the trunk lid.

    Need Advice on 3way setup

Don't bother yourself with a 3 way set up. Try to install a 5.25" comonent set correctly. It is not too hard to make some "spacer rings" (is that the good word ? lol) for the speaker. Use some deadening material for that door and a good set of speakers. If you want to go active forget the component set, and look for a pair of 5.25 mids and a pair of tweeters. It will be more than enough for you. The Focal CA series are not so good speakers for the high price you will pay. Unless you go at least for the K series, forget Focal. The Bravox deal has ended, sure ? Ask the ssa store. Listen to M5 : he knows his sh...!

    Trunk Setup Positioning

    :fing34:It make sense !
  13. That's a good advice !!! A Btl for your first setup on a budget ? It's too much... Get a Fi Bl (DVC2), and a 1000-1500 watts amp : Sundown has some good refurbished / used amps with warranty. With the money you'll save on amp and sub, you can have a wonderful box built by some of the great builders here on the forum. You only need ONE set of speakers(component set) on your front doors, with a 2 x 100 watts rms amplifier. For cheaper amps, look into Audiopipe , Audioque, Clarion, MBQuart, ... With about 1200 watts rms, you won't need a HO alt, just the Big3 in 0 ga. Just watch your voltage on a voltmeter to see if you need upgrades.

    Strapping Amps

Personnally, I would strapp them, looks cooool ! This is an example of strapping !! 2 saz 1000 on the right, and 2 on the left. A little extreme don't you think ?!!
  16. Notorious97200

    Strapping Amps

advantage : only one amp to set (the master), one gain and one filter , so you should have the same signal through both woofers. Strapping will not let you run your amps to a final load of 1 ohms. From what I understand ! the only thing you need to add is a single rca cable to link the 2 amps.
  17. Will get my SSA stickers at the post office today. I hope so !

    Sundown 1500.1 or Audioque 2200d

Why do choose these amps ? Can your car handle more power ? So that you can run a more powerful amp ! These MTX subs will play with 1500-2000 watts, but I know they can take more than that. save some more money, and find a more powerful amp if you can. I run sundown amps, and like them a lot. The Saz 1500 run my sub like a champ !!!

    SAZ3500 and 6 SA12's

It looks like a strong electrical system ! But .4 ohm ? Dam... I'm not an expert, at all ! I hope you'll find your answers.

    fitting 40" in 34" =)

:puzzled:Never had access to a meter ! I saw one in a local comp, but I don't compete. Too much people would know and see what I have in the car ! My island is too small. Have to hide a little!!!

    Opinions on a few amps

The Zed amp seems to be a killer deal at this price. You won't find better & cheaper ! and it really look so nice. On the cheap side, you can use 2 Audiopipe or Clarion amps : 1 for the sub and 1 for the speakers. It will be way less then $500 IMO.
  25. Someone must have stolen my ssa stickers at the Post Office ! I'm waiting for 1 month !!! :(
