I would try a 15" in a Cruze with those max dim. I'd rather have the sub in an optimal enclosure. That would leave you room for amp, batteries, everuthing else,...and maybe some space for groceries !

I know a member here, who lives in St Marteen (in the Caribbeans), with a Hyundai tucson or a Kia. He has a HO alt from Mechman or Singer. I don't remember which one, but I was so jealous : I can't have any HO on my Mazda CX-5 ! He has ordered a few for some friends, driving Kia or Hyundai cars.

My new upgrades for 2017 and what to expect? Fi BTL NEO/AA 3800 1.D
Notorious97200 replied to THX_Elite's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
A recone kit and a new basket : and my 12" BTL neo became a 15" one ! From years ago, it is still playing with its brother in my installer's car, on a Sundown NS-1. Easy to do ! Enjoy your sub on that powerful amp.- 9 replies

Just ordered ssa evil 18" woofer and 4500d soundqubed amp
Notorious97200 replied to Keegs94's topic in SSA® Store
The CAR will be loud with that setup : it's a Dodge quad cab 3500. I don't know how the( Soundqubed 4500) amp can be loud : it's an amp, it works in silent usually.- 24 replies

That basketball court finish is nice. Customer should be very happy . What car will get that ? -
Something with hdmi inputs would be nice. 70 w rms : that should be more than enough.

3-Way Active Which Midwoofers & Tweeters For My Application?
Notorious97200 replied to TX98Z28's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The ER can play much lower than 70 Hz. I totally agree, but I like some "fart music" sometimes ! Only one of my tweeters is dead, but I can have a replacement one for free, hopefully. The second one fell off the mounting ring we made. I'll fix everything this afternoon. Ok ! I put the Focal TN 52 back in. Mids Er 18 : HPF 70Hz @ 24 dB (I tried 6 db, 12, ...until I found 24 was better. Those speakers were playing so much bass) LPF at 3800 Hz @ 6 dB. They're on 2 channels of my amp, so I bet they won't ever receive more than 40 w rms, and they're louder than ever ! Tweeters Focal TN52 : HPF at 3800 @ 6 dB. Until I can afford a better sounding pair. I will enjoy that setup a few days, then I'll work on the Time Alignment this next week-end. -

Those SEAS TDFC tweeters are so tempting... Shipping overseas would kill the deal, unless going with USPS. -
3-Way Active Which Midwoofers & Tweeters For My Application?
Notorious97200 replied to TX98Z28's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I am very happy with those ER18 : they are "punchy", and soft at the same time !!! They don't scream like a lot of speakers I can listen to in local installs. They play much better after some playtime. HPF : at 70 Hz and LPF at 3300 Hz but I don't remember the slopes I used on the mini-dsp. I've tried 3800, 3500, 3300 Hz...still going down. BUUUT I think I blew the tweeters sunday night. After 30 minutes or more playing full tilt, some bad recorded reggae music mixtape, I realized I had no more tweeters playing, they were quite silent on the highs. I'll have to investigate, wednesday afternoon. If they're really dead I will use my Focal tweeters, until I get another pair I want. -
No news about the new Fi products, here ?

3-Way Active Which Midwoofers & Tweeters For My Application?
Notorious97200 replied to TX98Z28's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
$300 for a pair of tweeters ? That is too much for me now ! I'd rather play with some "cheap" ones first. Someday I may spend that on a pair. But I have work to do before, as I have no deadening yet in the car ! -

Tuned in. How much power will you use on your mids and highs ? I know I can improve my highs ! I currently use a Davis Acoustic silk tweeter, taken form an 8" coaxial speakers. I like it, but I feel I can do better. -

That box looks very nice : I love the color, and the finish. But I don't understand the 2 8 Ga wires in a single terminal.
-
I like it. I hope it works for you. Show/tell us more please ! What car, what else in it ?... How do you like it ?
-
Wow ! That's an ...evil setup ! You must be happy. Down the road, you will be able to add a second amp for your subs. How do you like the mids : are they loud enough for all that bass ?
-
I thought it was a joke. I googled it and ...it's a real product ! I like it, but it's way too expensive for me. I need a cheap one. (I like the one you just plug in the cigarette lighter input.)
