Advice on buying the sub. which series should i buy??

IMHO i dont really think that in order to reach 145 Db i need 6-7KW of power. I hit 140 in a sealed box and that too with term pro meter on windshield with 1000W rms of power.....When i'll switch over to a ported enclosure i will roughly get a 3db gain...I have a friend of mine using 2 Ground Zero Hydrogens 15" giving them 2000W RMs in total in a hatch back and easily touching that number......My only need is i want that number in a Sedan

I can go for the ported enclosure as well but the concern is which will play cleaner as well as go louder when pushed?? also which ones recommended 1x15" or 2x12" ? And if by any chance how to lower down the shipping costs and avoid customs too when shipped to india? Any idea guys?? and thanks for replying and helping...

  4. Hi, I am from india and i am keen to order the FI subs for my car after seeing so many satisfied customers and so many videos of good things about them. I want to install them in Chevrolet optra (4 door) aka Lacetti in USA....My current setup has HU--Alpine 9887 Compos :-- rainbow SLC 265.65 NG Amp for Compos : -Audison Srx 4 Sub :- Alpine Type-R 1222d (12") 2no.s in a sealed box 1.35 cu. feet for each Mono amp :- Alpine MRD M1000 Power acoustik 3.0 F capacitor Audison and Directed Audio RCA, power cables, Audison ground and distribution block I have touched 140 DB on the windscreen easily in my sedan with this setup now its time to upgrade wherein i have multiple choices.... I can stay with the 1000W rMS power of my amp and get a sub according to the ratings of 1000W RMS or i can but 1 more amp with similar specifications or may be similar one to push them to get 2000W RMS. I wanna touch atleast 145 DB with teh sealed enclosure coz somehow i dont like the boomy sound of ported enclosure and i want the sub to go really low....SO its the low bass which i prefer.....I can go with any size be it 2x12" , or 1x15", 2x15" or even 1x18" provided i have enough space for the enclosure to get inside my boot......So i m now really confused in between Q ,BL and BTL series sub....as i am in india and i cannot audition them by any means possible...so you guys will be only medium for me to get that detail so that i can order them accordingly....Price is not an issue as they are great VFM......but i want a setup which can be used on daily basis as well becomes stealth and push out great SPL when required... Please suggest guys....that would be of great help
