    box for a 10" xcon

x2 More less I was showing how he could do a L port design..This was by no means finished but I thought it might help.. But that's not what he asked for at all, please try and help people and dont post just to post man. Save that for the IHOP. To answer your question earlier about the box yes i would make a new one, it looks like you got it off mobile sound works website. Nice enclosures to be prefab but arent built as well as you think, my box flexed like crazy when i bought one from them. Plus the board is blocked around the edges since the didnt route the wood for the port opening correctly, possibly hurting the output. Box is almost on the small end once you subtract the displacement of the subwoofer away from the boxes volume. So your current enclosure is around 1.83 cubic feet tuned to 33hz, somewhere in that baballpark. I never used BassBox program before so cant comment on the differences you are getting when using both programs but i use Torres calculator along with many others without problems. Im guessing since they are made by different people they use different codes to get their desired results. Just my .02

    Taramps 8k electrical?

so at the end of the day you arent running 8k to those Ethos, so why even get an 8k amp. Makes no sense for the OP to drop the extra cash just to say i have an 8k amp. Comps maybe but for daily driving i dont see it.
  6. Did you remove the back panel before to look at the guts causing the screw threads not to hold as tight? See there could be multiple problems
  7. Yes but more information would help like what's causing it, where is it mounted, etc. Hard to help with no information given
  8. so you arent getting 1300 watts or so as you assume, wiring below 1 ohms causes wasted heat and kills amps components quicker.

    Taramps 8k electrical?

Because someone probably told him those subs will take it. Who or why they would tell him that for daily driving, i dont know.

  12. No point in running at 0.5 ohms.

    Taramps 8k electrical?

Nobody can really answer that question truthfully. Is it for burps, demos, daily driving etc.

DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs

Amp looks solid, first time seeing or hearing of them.
  17. After what Taylor posted about the 8.0s, you will get way more than 15k if you can maitain a great voltage. 8.0s get my vote as well as IA80.1s

You just wait till I post the video on the proper way to make yellow squash casserole !!Horrible attempt of trying to raise your post count, slow down on derailing threads so much. If you still need further understanding of the topic, start a new thread.

    1st active front stage setup

A mini-dsp can be used as a processor if you dont want to use a heaunit. The cheapest active h/u is the Clarion CZ702 and the next one that is popular is the Pioneer 80PRS.

    1st active front stage setup

2 way will be easier your first go around to not screw up vs a 3 way setup. Mounting locations of tweeters and mids? Have you treated your doors yet? I would keep the Hertz for now and use them active to get things dialed in, use them as a learning experience and find out what you like and dont like before buying new equipment.

Not happy with sub stage. Need some help.

Get a DMM and measure the subs terminals while you have it pulled it as well, this will help make sure the sub is not the culprit.
