The Term-lab Magnum is a nice piece of equipment, still trying to decide on a spl meter myself. Glad we have options now.

Super high output SQ oriented front stage
jcarter1885 replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in General Audio
Dude no mid is gonna produce punchy midbass to keep up with 5k watts of bass, you think an 8" or 10" mid is going to keep up with four 18"s or a pair of 24" subs. C'mon man, just like your current 6.5s dont with an 18" subwoofer. As for now all this is speculation anyway, since you dont have the car or equipment. If you do go the horns route a ppi p900.4 bridged on the mids would work and a small 2 channel for horns would suffice, ppi p600.2 if you want matching gear. -
Super high output SQ oriented front stage
jcarter1885 replied to SpeakerBoy's topic in General Audio
SQ at lower volume is subjective, just say you want it to sound good at any level but have the output needed when I want to crank the knob. Install, mounting locations, processing will play more of a role in getting the desired sound at any level. A three way with horns would be pointless, doubt their is a tweet sensitive enough to use on the top end. Or a mid that wouldnt just mess things up running between the horn and midbass. -
Issue with HU?

Yes rears arent needed anyway, sell rears and put funds toward amp for comps. Hopefully removing the rears solves your issue. -

The infintiy speakers are 2 ohms and even they say when wired into factory wiring they are a true 4 ohm load. Most head units i know only do 4 ohms per channel. Did you just install speakers, head unit or both? -

Post seems confusing, went from four 18"s to a 12" to a 24 ". What are you exactly needing your front stage to blend with? Ideally a pair of under dash horns and large midbass driver usually would work with multiple subs or high powered sub setups. -
Running at .05 ohms is the dumbest thing you could suggest someone to do. Im hoping you meant .5 ohms Yes...I did Good catch..No biggie, just dont want anybody reading this and getting any ideas for more power.

This can be answered with a quick google search. Why not just ask this in your can you model my subwoofer thread instead of making a new one? Simple answer yes.
-
If it's for a daily setup, running at .5ohms will do more harm then good even with a good electrical.

What I posted came right off the SQ website. I didn't say it was right or wrong.Cool story bro, i didnt quote you man so no need to seek my approval.

Like stated before subs dont need a break in. Taking it easy on a subwoofer will only further delay the soft parts loosening up.

Glad to have you Jesse.

only 2 door speakers on 4 channel?
jcarter1885 replied to tac2137's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Its simple really, what you added changed how things sounds. So troubleshoot that. I would suspect the amp, 60 bucks for something used like that could end up being too good to be true. Hopefully it isnt, if its the amp then you wont know since you don't have anything to test it against. Thats why i recommend taking it back to the shop regardless how long you are gonna have the car for. -

Some people are helping and others just confusing the matter. OP I hope its something simple and you get it situated. Who installed it for you? Your best bet might be to take it to Columbus Audo where you bought it and have them troubleshoot it. -

jcarter1885 replied to tac2137's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Just run the speakers bridged since the amp does 150w x 2 @ 4ohms bridged, a little headroom and no channels unoccupied. Win-Win What speakers do you have? -

Do you mean one speakers bridged to two channels each or 4 ohms or one channel per speaker at 4 ohms leaving two channels unoccupied? -
Love the drivers man

Size does not make a woofer SQ or SPL.

Wow bro, how do we know whats best if we dont even know the subs? Quite simple actually, add up all three subs rms totals. Find out what ohm you are running and see what amp fits the bill.

http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/63299-enclosure-pricing-for-2015/#entry1096452 I would try Trevor as he will save you some cash and has extensive testing with the 10" Icon, his enclosures look amazing. Cant wait to try one myself.

Yep 1-1.5 ft^3 @ 29-34hz, subs displacement is 0.12 ft^3.

"We have also upgraded the Q1-2200D.1 to the new version the Q1-220D.2" Should say, Q1-2200D.2 at the end of sentence. I noticed it's wrong on the website as well, just a heads up fellas.
