Competing or daily, space to work with etc.

Crossovers shouldn't change the ohm load. I wasnt a fan of my FT1s at all, good luck.

no walls...just a trunk setup...giving my measurements I think sub up port back might be best. Looking for recommendations, design..what ever help I can get. I have sketch up and Torres, just don't have them down enough to design anything just yet. He didnt mean wall your vehicle, trunk wall is another way of saying sealed off and firing forward. If you can loose some depth and add 1.5" of height you can do forward firing with everything sealed off.

Makes sense and cant beat free. Yeah start with those doors and one 10 and go from there to see if it's what you want, if not then start over.

bridged amp and effect on resistance
jcarter1885 replied to ncc74656's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Put your boss's theory to test for him. Wire a 4 ohm driver to a two channel amplifier bridged, see what happens. Now get two 4 ohm drivers and repeat the process, amp should go into protect. If amp is stable to 4ohms bridged then the second test shouldnt last that long depending on amps protection features. -
Why not make your own doors and go for what you want, instead of compromise. Going from 8k to 16k is only doubling the power so its not like the output is gonna drastically increase to where you need to make a major overhaul to your front stage. Pick the right speakers and you will have the output you want. Like stated on this forum, lots of power or throwing the speakers rms does not equate to more output. I once wired my mids and super tweeters on my amp from one channel each to bridging them on a PPI900.4. Yes they got louder, well louder at lower volume level then previously before. But causing stress on the speaker and running more power/heat just to allow my volume level to not be as high was not a good trade off. Just my .02 Peavey and Beyma is what I see used with great success.

two subs and port to the rear with one firing up (tuned 26hz), got down but definitely needed way more port area.

My friend who got me into car audio still has his three Kicker CVR subs, the model before those. I will have to post up a picture of my three 12" Kicker CVXs, used to love me some Kicker.

Is there any way to do just two 10"speakers to keep it simple, will allow you to run 4 ohms and find a 4 four channel to bridge. Dont worry so much about power, with their sensitivity they will still have good output.
-
If im reading this correctly, I wouldnt run all the mids off a 1channel amp. You wont have any stereo seperation. I know you are tryna get the most power to your mids but I would find a 2 channel amp that is stable to 2ohms per channel, run one door per channel.
