Site runs great to me as well on laptop, andriod phone and tablet. Just wish I could access my gallery easier and find the Signature feature. I do like how I can customize the SSA profile with different backgrounds, very nice add-on.

advice for new zcon box

Love the stain man, what color is it that? Another wonderful creation, even a single sub enclosure is a work of art.

Cosmetics I love the look of this amplifier, the gun metal color scheme is very nice and appealing to the eye versus the standard black you see from other companies. I didn't have any problems with the stated wire sizes fitting into the power, ground, remote and speaker terminals. The dials aren't hard to turn at all , this product comes with the usual standard crossover network that most subwoofer mono amplifiers have. The bottom plate has vents for extra air flow, as you see in my build I placed to rubber feet under its mounting tabs to allow the amplifier to breath. At the end of the day you have a simple, sleek amplifier that will win you over everytime you open your trunk and take a glimpse of it. Performance I have no qualms on why this amplifier would not put out rated power, I haven't tested it myself or seen anyone test this amp but it is pushing my SSA Icon 15" very well. The only upgrades I have electrical wise are three ground wires under the hood, all in 1/0 car audio wire and 2/0 welding cable. One run of 4 gauge Knukonceptz OFC run of power from battery to rear of car with a 4 gauge Knukonceptz OFC wire to a sanded area for the ground. Amplifier hasn't gotten warm but I don't really take long trips, still trying to get everything dialed in and waiting till I get an AGM battery for under the hood. Hopefully I can find a local meet or car audio show to do some more testing and get it metered. Missed a show this past weekend but know some guys on a team down here, so I should be able to in the loop more. Overall Opinion In conclusion, there are no cons I can think of when it comes to owning this US Acoustics Mike amplifier. I need to stop playing around and order the Barbara Ann for my front stage setup. At the price and power ratio you cant find a better buy, this amp is well built without the bells and whistles. Thanks for the comeback US Acoustics, hope you guys stay around and introduce more products to the car audio world. Thanks to SSA for giving me the opportunity to own this amplifier and once again sorry for the long delay on the review. Don't really know what else to say fellas, about to go take a ride and enjoy some tunes. Not much for words and wish the review could be longer, any questions ask away. If you want to check out the build log then check out page 5, where all the new updates begin:

Loud hissing sound when no music being played, is this normal?
jcarter1885 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Even though you paid money and didnt get everything you wanted, just by their recent comments I would just take it to another shop. Tell them whats installed and what's wrong then go from there. Just my.02 -
Is changing passive crossover same as changing headunit EQ?
jcarter1885 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Taking a door panel off to check some things and replace speakers will be fine. Now playind bass loudly or removing or installing sub boxes may invite unwanted eyes. -

Who is installing your equipment, if its a shop then you may need a new one. -
Birch wood speaker spacer, need to be waterproofed?
jcarter1885 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Mdf has harmful chemicals in it. Wood period expands when wet but birch will expand less than mdf from what i was told. If your doos leak then you will have a problem but if they dont then it shouldnt be an issue. Ive never had water on the inner door skin where the speaker will mount that i know of, now between the inner door skin and out door I've seen water. -
Looking for a pair of AA Carbon 7" mids, new but if used ill take a look as well.

Power Wire
jcarter1885 replied to mathewdylang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Also if you plan to run a mids and highs amplifier, you could get a fused distribution block that has 1/0 wire going in and two 4gauge outputs. So all you have to do is add another 4 gauge wire when/if you want to upgrade. Just a heads up -
Power Wire
jcarter1885 replied to mathewdylang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yes you can run 1/0 to the back fuse in the rear then step down to 4 gauge from fuse holdeer to amplifier. -
Why is this amp so cheap? Pioneer GM-D8604 should be fine?
jcarter1885 replied to Florida_Audio's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Pioneer maybe the best to to answer this question. My guess is that Pioneer doesnt have a high mark up as other companies, among other things. Most of Pioneers equimpent is cheaper than its rivals, just something I always noticed. Price shouldnt reflect its performance vs competitors. -
There are two sides to every story but thanks for the heads up.

Get a dual 2 ohm subwoofer. Depending on the type of 4 gauge wire you should be fine if it is ofc and nice quality wire.

HELP A BROTHER OUT.
jcarter1885 replied to MitchBane's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I doubt the length of your ground is an issue as mine is that long as well. Big 3 will help as well, what is your stock alternator putting out. Amp setttings could be an issue as well, gain barley up doesnt help the situation. Find out your headunits preout voltage because you set your gain to match your h/u's preouts. What are the headunit settings? Hopefully no bass boost, no loud, no sla etc. As most of your settings should be flat. No bass boost on amp. Nevermind i see you have a factory h/u. What is this active loc you speak of and how is it set up? Who installed the sytem? -
Had to turn the box around, my trunk is about as loud as the sub with all the rattles and such. Dont want to put to much time or money into sealing it off so I need to figure something out soon. Need to go buy some more spray foam, my roof is rattling like crazy. Sucks trying to run my door speakers off the radio because I cant hear them that much when going full tilt.

Just a few snapshots of equipment I have sitting around for this build log since it will start officially tomorrow. No pictures of the car till tomorrow when it arrives, everything under the hood is new besides the engine so right now that is my focus since it has over 200,000 miles. I will replace the primary battery with a XS Power D2400 and I will put a D3100 in the trunk with the sounds. Need to find out how Im gonna go about the center console since I cant find any dash kits for the car, need to find room for either a single-din or double-din and my Audio Control Epic-160. I may take the navigation out but I dont know as of yet, we will see (I dont have the software for it so I need to go find it). Center Console Trunk

Please help me understand t/s parameters and making a good choice

Saying your flexible with your dimensions does not help at all. Go measure with a tape measure and give us maximum dimesions and preferred dimensions to get better responses. -
