I was planning on rewinding the alternator, than possibly upgrading the alt to a bigger one if it doesn't help hold the voltage, anyone tested to see what the amp does at .5 ohms or .3 ohms ? naw I dont think anyone wants to void their warranty just yet for the SAZ-2000d but Im pretty sure Jacob or someone from Sundown may do a test at that ohm load to give you some results.

the best way to tell if its the sub or box, just swap out the subs in each box and if the same box is still making a flapping noise then rebuild it or whatever; if the other box makes the noise then you know its your subwoofer

Yeah that amp will do, that 95RMS @ 2ohms will be split between the two drivers. You can get an amp that will do 95-200RMS@ 2ohms and be fine, there is no such thing as underpowering speakers and any speakers besides subwoofers dont really need all their rms going to them all day long (but you can if you want). I would try looking at a Sundown SAX-125.2 or 50.4 and wire each speaker to its own channel.

Id say go for it and cant wait for the build log, you should also talk to audible customs I believe, I think he wants to do a big install in a suv. just my .02

Yeah I just read some topics under the Sundown Thread and seen how it is a gain knob. Set your gain where you want it, plug the remote in at max and you control the setting from min to max at the amps gain setting (If at 50% then the remote will play it from the minimum level of 50% to the maximum level at 50%). Im gonna leave my bass boost at 0 db, just wanted to make sure the knob was a gain knob and not a bass boost.

So does it control the bass boost on amp or gain on amp? If the bass setting on the amp is at 0 db position (regardless of remote being in or out it is still at 0 db)? If the bass setting on the amp is at 6 db postion (without knob its at the full 6 db limit and with it in its between min or max of 6db setting)?

So is it like that for all remote controls for your amps, I thought the one that came with SAZ-2000D was a bass boost knob?

did you install the amp today or just getting the settings straight?

check to make sure its not on demo mode or another function thats keeping it from its normal operations. check all the settings and features throughout the radio, also check your connections to the wiring harness.

They are making these dashes harder and harder to convert into aftermarket stereos, to me it looks like that whole area (radio, ac) is connected in the faceplate and behind it. I would have to look at it to tell you, havent dealt with an xscape yet. good luck

I was thinking the same thing but when you look on the other side of the amp, you can clearly see the 3 sets of speaker terminals and one set of power/ground/remote start terminals.

whats the optimal range to set a sub sonic filter for a ported enclosure: 1-5Hz lower than tuning of box, 5-10Hz lower than tuning of box or 1-10Hz lower than tuning of box? I have heard them all and see everyone saying something different so I though I just ask and get this out the way for me and eman88 or anyone else who wants to know.

yeah I seen it, looks great for it just to be the jl audio 250/1. I wanna put my 2000D in also but Im a little skeptical on it, even though MemphisMzd said put it in and watch the voltage (maybe in august if batteries still havent been bough then I will just install it and be real cautious with it)

your best bet is 2-12" subwoofers or 1-15" subwoofer, in my opinion. especially if you want to put them in the proper enclosure(do you want to go ported or sealed?)

now thats one fine piece of sound audio equipment right there

I cant wait for the dual 1 ohm options so I can get 2-12" IXL's for my SAZ-2000d.
