    TEXAS MEET 2222222

Considering Im in the Dallas area I dont know of too many spots in Central Texas, Im down for the event (hopefully its not during my alumni schools homecoming because I have been planning that trip for almost a year but I will pass that trip up for an Event. I will stay posted to this thread.
  2. lol, you don't recommend the 2400s but you tell him to listen to what i say and i say it's fine... He is really gonna be confused now, lol. 2 HC2400s are fine. If you are a Kinetik fan, that model number is what you want, 2 of them. If you are Powermaster fan, go with 2 XS D3100s... The Powermaster's are generally $30 more than the Kinetik's and i am biased to say that's what i'd use simply because their companies support forum is on this site if you have any questions. Honestly I didnt even look up the AH on the HC2400 and was cofusing it with the HC2000, I gave some false info my fault and figured since you only listed the XS Power D3100's they were the only ones acceptable (but I guess it was what came to mind first or brand loyalty). But yeah (2) Kinetick HC2400 will do, my fault for not looking the batteries up first.
  3. Well get the 250A if thats all you can find and grab two XS Power D3100's, the kinetick 2400 dont have the amp hours you need. On the electrical behalf listen to what shizzzon recommends, its gonna cost you but if you do it right the first time the less money you have to spend in the long run.
  4. Yeah I agree with you close mouths dont get fed, but a good 2000wrms-3000wrms amp would be perfect for those subs since a 2500-3000wrms amp will leave you with some head room which is a good thing. When I say setting the gain right I mean their is a way to limit even a 3000wrms amp to dish out a certain amount of rms, you would have to get a DMM: Digital Multi-Meter, bought mines last nite at Wal-mart for $30 but they have cheaper ones that cost only $20 but well worth it. Once you get a DMM you will need a test tone cd and a voltage chart unless you wanna do all the math by hand or paper to set your gains to where your 3000wrms is only dishing out 2000wrms. Look under the Audio Related Section Amplifiers, Headunits, Electrical Forum and their are a few tutorials that describe how to go about this process if more information is needed. Amps for a BTL: Sundown SAZ-2000D, AudioQue 2200D, Rockford Fosgate T2000or T2500, Incriminator Audio 20.1 (just off the top of my head) Amps for 2 BTL's: Sundown SAZ-3500D or SAZ-4500D, Audioque 3500D, Rockford Fostgate T4000, Incrimantor Audio 40.1 (just off the top of my head)
  5. I dont know about daily but if you set your gains right and watch your volume then 3000wrms may be ok but I dont know about higher. The question is for how long can they take that power and can your vehicle handle 6000rms or more? Why dont you just give them between 2000-3000wrms(if you just want to throw that much power on them but they have a rms rating for a reason). Oh yeah welcome and glad you could join us.

    Stetsom Amps.

The Sundown 4500D is underrated also, so 4500wrms+, I would feel safer with the 4500D since it has two power and ground terminals maaking sure your feeding the amp the current it needs and Jacobs the man. Just my .02

    orion h2 system 15"

    It's called an isolator/solenoid.
  8. jcarter1885

    Memphis Mojo 15

Ill be careful about purchasing a mojo for $75 but they are good subs, they probably retail for $350 or better depending where you get them from.
  9. jcarter1885

    2 12s or 1 15?

both of them in the right box will hit hard, but the 2-12's will usually win that one.

    What would you reccommend?

Basically we think that what fits will get the loudest, if you want to throw 2-15"s or 2-18"s in there and the box is too small you will be choking the subs and just wasting your money. So grab one tough ass 15" subwoofer or 2-12" subs since that the space you have for it and it will do its job in getting loud and sounding good. If you arent sure about the XCONS then check out other subs but the 12"s or 15" is what you want. Just my .02.

one, two, or three subs for 12-1500 watts

I dont know how serious they are, email Jacob if interested in them and Im sure he will give you ideas on where to put them or how to install them were there seeing the least amount of vibrations (I use padded feet for my subwoofer amps).
  13. jcarter1885

    what 2-15" on a saz3500d

Yeah you dont want to put batteries on straight concrete because it might slowly drain them, leave them on the mdf and they will be fine.
  14. jcarter1885

    Stetsom Amps.

x2, I would go with the Sundown SAZ-4500D.
  15. jcarter1885

    What would you reccommend?

I dont think you will have the room for 2-18"s, it looks like you have room for 2-12''s after displacement (port, subs and bracing) when I put you max dimensions in a box calculator 39"w x17"h x 19"d. Those 12"s would have the room to make a good enclosure and not be choked by a small box like the 15"s or 18"s.

    Which Sub?????

Look at the Sundown SAZ-1000D also, better than all that is listed.

    Zx750.1 12"x2 CVR's 2009 F150 single cab

what im asking is will the zx750.1 power two 12" CVX kicker's and what proper settings i should have set for my CVR 12"s via amp and head unit Thanks Bump... want to know if it's possable to run two kicker CVX's off a ZX750.1 amp also if it is should i get 2ohm or 4ohm was also wondering if it would burn up my amp I understand the 750.1 amp is rated at 890 RMS but the kicker CVX's are rated for 500 RMS each will this make a huge difference Get a DMM and set the amps gain setting using 750rms and not 890rms so you wont harm the amp or speakers, the CVX's are 750 rms and CVR's are 400rms. The amp wont make them shine but it will definantly get them moving ( I have around 700 rms give or take a little on my 3-12" CVX's and they sound good). Get the dual 2 ohm version and wire them in series to 4 ohms each (they will see a final ohm load of 2 ohms).

    posters?

Put me down for one or two.
  19. jcarter1885

    2 d2 ohm rl-p 18's

Yeah you can strap them, you should see 1800rms @ 2ohms. Go to Sundown Audio's website and Jacob posted a tutorial on there about strapping or just email him if you need anymore special directions.

    tinsel leads and direct leads

I was on audioque.com a minute ago looking at their subs, the HDC3's and the picture of the 15" shows them just using wire ties to tie it to the basket (just click on the photo to enlarge it). Just my .02

    New subs?

Have you looked at any subs lately, what did you like or curious about. Check out SSA Icons, FI Q or BL, DC Level 4, Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections or Flatlynes, etc.
  23. jcarter1885

    New subs?

What other equipment would be in this install? What electrical upgrades have you done to your vehicle? What amp will you be using or dont know as of yet?

    2- SSD 18's in 6.6cu.ft. before displacement???

If you can do 6.0ft^3 or better after displacement(port, subwoofer and bracing) then I dont see why 2-15"s wouldn't work.

    2- SSD 18's in 6.6cu.ft. before displacement???

I would say cone area only has an advantage if in the proper enclosure, in my opinion. I have 3-12" Kickers CVX's in my car and I have the right box size just not enough port area, so 2-12"s would get louder and sound better in the right size box with the right size port area. You can set the gain on the amp to play a certain rms, there is nothing wrong with some extra headroom. I would email Nick at Fi caraudio and ask him what would be the optimal box to use with one 18" with some extra power(you can make a box smaller and give a sub a little extra power). Did your friend get them with BP Power or stock?
