No prefab box, either make one yourself (will save you tons of money) or get one custom made to fi's recommendation.

I wish there was a meet at Dallas/Forth Worth Area, maybe me and some of the guys who stay in this area can set one up in the future (sometime in 2010). But right now I just got back to the area not to long ago so I really dont have any testing spots except for the new Cowboys Stadium since its right across the street from where I stay (I only do a few mintutes of testing and tuning there).

Go with what FI recommends it is a reason why they post it up on their site. If your talking about a certain design for your car people are gonna need more info to help you like: what car is it going in, what amp will push these subs, what are your max dimensions you have to work with?
-
I think he is going to run each sub at one ohms on each Sundown SAZ-1500D/ Audioque AQ1200D and both subs wired to a 2 ohm load on the Sundown SAZ-3500D.

x2, yeah my SAZ-2000D and SAX-125.2 only came with one sticker each. I messed up one and only have one on the car but will be ordering another SAX-125.2 and use that sticker for the top of the front windshield ( I only use the word Sundonw and leave Audio off just for my preference).

Ok which amp is the best outta these few?

I got a 2003 Saturn Ion, but from my understanding Chargers, Mercedes and some other cars have their battery in the back. I forgot which car has it behind the rear tire wheel panel, which is a bitch and a half to get to. It has its perks though, especially car audio so your main wire is not that long and you can jump somebody from the front or back when their battery is dead. -
I will be saving up but more than likely it will be one of these I will know for sure that week, but its on my calendar.

Terminator 4000d vs Saz 1500d
jcarter1885 replied to mclarengts's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
x2, Im gonna be quite biasis also and say the Sundown SAZ-1500d since im a Sundown man. US Amps make some good products also. If price is not a concern then Sundown SAZ-1500d and they are throwing out rated power and more at low voltages also. -
Go outside and sit in your front seat, you wont be able to hear your speakers in your rear deck. I would just like most people on this site would suggest you just scratch rear deck speakers and let the pressure from you subs enter the cabin through this area. Just focus on a good front stage, just my .02.

Good review and glad you like your new equipment. What 4-12's are you comparing this too, what size enclosure and tuning frequency did you have them in?

2008 Infiniti EX35 - Hand Crafted Car Audio
jcarter1885 replied to Anthony Collova's topic in Build Logs
Glad you could join us, nice car and neat install. I always wanted to do a system where very limited trunk space is used but its something about opening my trunk and a big ass box saying hello listen to me. Enjoy it and good going ANT . -
which speakers can keep up with 2200 watts?
jcarter1885 replied to wayneo99's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
x2, thats one thing I hate for someone to ask us question and then we give them our answer but they still wanna do it their way. -
so ive been wrong about asking stuff please help me now with component
jcarter1885 replied to [email protected]'s topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Usually the crossovers are built to the specs of the speakers used in that set, so it would be hard to find some tweeters of another brand to fit that set. You could use the mids if you like them with another set of tweeters and an amp or headunit that can be ran active. I love my Infinity's and many others I know do to, sometimes questions like what speakers should I run is hard for us to give you an answer since its preference based. Nobody knows what your preferences are in speakers and everybody wants something different (most people want an accurate and properly set up 2-way or 3-way setup on this forum and in car audio in general, while others are not to keen on accuracy and what not/ just want balls out loud highs and mids like me). Like I said either go find a shop to listen to some speakers or go to onlinecarstereo.com, woofersetc.com, sonicelectronix.com and find components in your price range and then list them and you would get better help and answers. -
Damn Im made that I stay all the way in Texas, would love for you to build me an enclosure but I know shipping will be a pain in the ass for my wallet.
-
Run each driver in series to 2 ohms and when added together they will drop down to a 1 ohm load.
-
I have no input on this since I dont have a truck but I like that picture and it should be a nice build if you go through with it, hopefully someone can give you a Yay or Nay on the question purposed.

DC Sound Labs Level 5 18" & Sundown SAZ3500D In a lil car :)
jcarter1885 replied to plugitin's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Big ass system and little ass car, love it man especially pictures and a video on first post. Congrats on build and glad you could join us. -
Definantly let me know how those two subwoofers differ once you get everything installed and good luck on the build. Make sure to post pictures.
-
Glad you could join us, give us some more details and we can help you. What type of music do you listen, what are your goals for this system, competing or not competing, etc.?
-
In my opinion since you have components already and want to add more speakes, just put the components together on the same channel like they should be and get some mid-bass for channel 3 and 4. Maybe someone might have other suggestions, just wait and see.

The 750.1 can push 2-12 CVX's, it just wont push them to their maximum output. Underpowering subs is not a problem, i currently have 700 watts on 3-12 cvx's and they sound lovely and hit hard for the power thats running to them (which is only a third of power). i am sure your pushing more then 700watts kickers are always underrated Definantly dont have them on a Kicker amp, on another amp till I put in the SAZ-2000D.

jcarter1885 replied to wayneo99's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Well throw them in your car and put 150rms and see how long they last (yeah they probably could take but for how long, maybe the people who throw 150rms probably only do so for a little while). You ask a question and get an answer but still wanna do it your way, so just by them and throw more power on them than recommended and see where that gets you. Good luck. -

jcarter1885 replied to [email protected]'s topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
People usually dont run component sets in an active install, they usually buy a speaker from one brand and a tweeter from another brand and match them up. I think you just was to stay passive and should just pick out a set of components that are in your budget and a good brand since you dont want to drive to any shops to take a listen. -

Glad you could join us but were gonna need some more info on this one buddy, read noob post guidelines. What car, what equipment, what electrical upgrades have you made and so-on?
