  1. Sorry to hear that man, thats a bummer.
  2. x2, Id vote for 2 12" FI BL's or 15" FI BTL in your case.
  3. Actually no im not a spokesperson I just pointed him in the direction of a another quality amp with better customer service and since he asked for refurbs I pointed him to a refrubished amp dealer for both companies so he could compare, thats all. No need to get all emotional with the extra ! marks, haha.

    Possibly Upgrading Amp

Ill say get both but if you cant get both now get what you need first since both amps are on sale. The SAE-1200D is still going to be sold while the 50.4 is going out of production so I would get the 50.4 now and keep the kicker. Then when you get some money and sell the kicker get you a nice sub amp.

    Possibly Upgrading Amp

x2, better customer service, better all around amp, very underrated power ratings (does rated power at 12.8 volts) and it has an adjustable sub sonic filter so you dont have to tailor your box around the sub sonic filter like you do with kicker. just off the top of my head and my .02.

From: Best Amp For . .

I would scrap hifonics personally. There is a sale on the Sundown SAE-1200D brand new, very good customre service and very underrated, check into them.

How many car audio forums have you joined?

Just one, the other forums were useless before I was even into forums (I would go on other ones and it seem like nobody knew what they were talking about).

    Big 3 Question

No dont put it to another spot, run the wire the same place you ran the first battery ground wire (that was just how I worded it). Make sure you sanded the paint off since I know that most car manufacturers dont do that before they do ground wire. The reason for the second ground is for a better and more stable voltage, you dont have to do it today or period but it will help in the long run (not required but recommended after I seen how it helped out my voltage).

    Big 3 Question

You dont have too but if you want an even stable voltage then do another wire from battery ground to cars frame.

Chris' Wall Build in the Aviator vids p.35

I see someone got a little too excited with the subs, but great pictures (glad to see everything slowly coming together).
  19. Way more than his budget, I would suggest the SAE-1200D which is on sale now and very underrated or the Sundown SAZ-1500D which is $500 and very underrated. Both of these amps will push those subwoofers nicely, get the Dual 1 ohm version.
  20. You didn't think to verify the amplifier would handle the load before you purchased the amplifier? Probably not or one of those individuals who did look and said fuck it Im still going to wire my sub down to a 1ohm load even though the amp couldnt handle it . So after the first one blew you just put another one on there instead of figure out what caused it to blow which in turn caused the second one to blow. I would get a sub that can be wired to a safe ohm load for a house amp and I wouldnt hook up the SAZ-3000D in my house but to each its own I guess.

    Thoughts on specs

You have been all over the place with equipment from here and there, lets take a step back before you just keep throwing more and more equipment at us. What are your goals, your budget on amp, speakers, front stage, electrical upgrades, etc? I wouldnt get a sub with those T/S Parameters.

Foam sub box lining affecting tuning?

Since your alternator is so low, I would get a bigger battery up front or get a HO alternator because your stock alternator is barely covering the basics with the car on and no accessories playing. I would also check to make sure that your grounded to good locations and all the paint is sanded off (if you get a DMM and find a spot with 0 resistance then your good).
